The Meteorite Manifestation

This episode broke some of general guidelines for what kind of show this is. It was creepy and awkward, but not really smart or clever. It feels like the writers are making filler episodes for the last season but there's no genuine humor or spark with the smart, but ironically funny characters. Season 10 was hilarious. Season 12 is hit and miss. With this episode being one of the misses. A large portion of the scenes are not even real as they are dreams. Sheldon's quest to fill out paperwork for fun could have been played into more with bigger repercussions. Leonard's jealousy was pointless story as there was no resolution. He had a point about his laser and yet no one acknowledged it. It felt like a waste to bring it up without a worthy resolution or purpose.

The show is still watchable but it is not as enjoyable as before. However, this episode was painful to watch. I mean there is no story and nothing is funny. I did not laugh, not even one time.

I think this was a good episode that utilized both Bert and Sheldon well. Bert came off as a bit funny in the episode, and Sheldon reminded me a bit of Tim and Wilson from Home Improvement with the philosophical mixup. I loved Leonard's dream sequence and the scenes at the patent office. The episode had its moments.

So good that I would happily listen to them reading out the Pasadena Planning Regulations.

Sometimes you need to go with the moments. One is Leonard's fever dream. Second is Sheldon's trip to the court house and his lust for bureaucracy. Third is the whole business with the deck and the hot tub. Each has some nice moments.
