Trivia
When Jay walks into the living room (before Manny comes home from his Valentine's Day date), Joe is sitting on the couch with his hand tucked in the front of his pants while watching TV. This is a nod to Ed O'Neil's character Al Bundy from his earlier hit show Married With Children (1987). The "hand down the pants" was his signature move on the show.

Goofs
As Haley is sitting on the boat talking to Mitch and Cam, the bottle of champagne she has in her hand moves suddenly from being propped up on her right thigh to hanging down below her knees.

Do You Believe in Magic?

I think you just have to accept by this stage in its run that 'Modern Family', like man long-running comedies before it, had reached a stage where some episodes are better than others.

It tries to tell three stories per episode too, so that only adds to the hit/miss nature of it.

I liked the majority of this episode, with only the Cam/Mitch storyline not doing much for me.
