Lamparina da Aurora is the third feature film by Frederico Machado, considered one of the great filmmakers in Brazil. Filmed in just 9 days, the film is a mixture of psychological thriller and existential drama. In the technical team, only 9 people and the whole movie consists of only 3 characters.
The film is narrated by the poet Nauro Machado, one of the great Brazilian poets, father of the filmmaker Frederico Machado. He passed away soon after the recordings.
