When Sandy is trying to convince Courtney to join him at the theme park, there are numerous continuity errors with the food and drink Sandy is consuming.

During their first meeting at the amusement park, Sandy is shown eating a turkey leg and drinking a soda while trying to convince Courtney to become his client. The turkey leg and drink change positions between cuts several times, and the turkey leg goes from being mostly eaten to barely eaten and back as the scene progresses.

At 44:25 - when Sandy's clients are running towards the pool and Courtney is teasing Sandy that she will put her whole foot in the pool if he comes one step closer towards her, look at Sandy's client (Shelly Desai) who is standing to the right of Kevin James' character. Shelly goes back and forth from taking off his tie and blazer to having his tie and blazer back on. He also keeps switching positions between standing next to and behind Kevin James' character.

When Sandy spots and starts talking to Arsenio Hall at the newspaper stand, In the first scene Sandy tucks the newspaper under his arm, then after cutting back to Sandy again in the following scene he can be seen tucking the paper under his arm again.

At 0:10:33, when Amy asks Sandy to watch her two daughters, her older daughter Jessie has a tooth missing on the upper right side of her mouth. The next time we see Amy's kids in the movie, a substantial amount of time has gone by, and Jessie is still missing that tooth.

When Sandy is talking to Arsenio at the newsstand, you can see two billboards for Jean Claude Van Damme's Timecop and Alec Baldwin as The Shadow. While the Timecop billboard is correct, The Shadow was released in July and was such a horrible box office bomb, it was out of theaters by the end of the month and would not have still had a billboard up on the Sunset Strip.

In the opening sequence set in September 1994, there is a large poster for the Smashing Pumpkins' "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness" album. That album was not released until October 24, 1995 and recording hadn't even begun until March 1995.

Despite taking place in the first half of the 1990s, in various driving scenes vehicles can be seen in the background from the 2010s.

While in the Tower Record store you can see many albums released after the time setting of 1994 including; Poe- Hello 1995, Joan Osborn- Relish 1995, Smashing Pumpkins- Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness 1995, Dido- Life For Rent 2003.

When at Muscle Beach the building jumped from is painted orange. That building is a well known landmark in Venice beach because of a large portrait of Jim Morrison that is painted on the side. In the 1990's that building was painted a light blue and was only recently painted a dark sunset orange by the original artist in 2014.

When Sandy comes to the bar to pick up drunk Courtney, there are framed jerseys on the wall. To the left is "Magic" Johnson with number 32, a purple one from the Lakers. However, behind the Sandy is a jersey from Croatian national football team with number 10, and a signature. This can only be a Jersey from Luka Modric, but from 2012, and not from the 1990s, because at that time, Luka was still in elementary school. The design of this jersey for 2018 world cup is slightly different.

At 13:06 - Courtney's (Jennifer Hudson's) mouth doesn't match the line she is singing, "No feathers all stubby and brown".

At 1:38:26 - the Improv comedy club owner (Bud Friedman) keeps looking directly at the camera.
