Paul Finchley is one half of a popular comedy double-act with a successful career spanning several decades. However, his life is turned upside down when he is arrested after an accusation of rape in the 1990s.

Marie encounters one of her husband's alleged victims and has a deeply troubling interview with Paul's barrister, Zoe. She begins to question why she stayed with her philandering husband. Paul receives legal advice that leaves him torn.
Paul and his family arrive in court to face his accusers and await the verdict. Dee senses that Marie is wavering while Marie knows that regardless of the verdict she has a big decision to make regarding her marriage.
