A beautiful, touching film. Lingers with you long after the closing credits. Inspiring and sensitively edited. Find out where it's showing and go and see it.

Inspiring and wrenching both!

The film shares the back story of a creative force--Irene Fornes--but is brought to you the lens of a deep friendship with the filmmaker Michelle Memran as they both struggle through what it means to loose your memory and what you can and can't hold onto. Hopefully will be streaming soon as it's a lovely lovely film!

This film was absolutely wonderful! Maria Irene Fornes is a captivating character and the connection between her and the director is quite moving. The story was beautifully told and I look forward to seeing future creative projects from Michelle Memran!

Gorgeous Film
pamelanewton7 December 2018
This documentary is about so many things--theatre, New York City, Cuba, friendship, aging, art--but it is really about LIFE. It is beautifully shot and edited and becomes a kind of visual poem, but without ever flagging or slowing down. Irene Fornes, the subject of the film, is endlessly entertaining and inspiring and painfully, beautifully human. I highly recommend you see this film if you get a chance!

Lovely and Inspiring Documentary
micahmcbay24 November 2019
This beautiful documentary presents a moving picture of Maria Irene Fornes, one of the unsung heroes of the Off-off Broadway movement of the 1960s and a powerful playwright and educator. Anyone interested in history, the arts, theatre, and the power of women to bring lasting change should take time to enjoy this piece created by Michelle Memran. You will be inspired to continue your own journey of creation by watching Michelle and Irene.
