In the pilot, Macauly Culkin returns in his iconic role Kevin McAlliaster from the "Home Alone" films for the first time in 23 years.
John Hughes was not credited in the closing credits of the pilot as the creator of the character Kevin McAlliaster, the main protagonist of the "Home Alone" films, whom was played Macauley Culkin, whom Culkin plays in the pilot. "Home Alone" and it's characters was written and created by John Hughes.
On YouTube, Daniel Stern recorded a video as a response to the pilot of "DRYVRS", as his character Marv from the "Home Alone" films. Which, a terrified Marv records a plea to Harry (Joe Pesci) to go and get him and that he's scared and that Kevin McAlliaster is coming after him. The video ends with Marv saying "What was that?" and fades to black and Marv heard screaming.
