Storyline
Did you know
- TriviaThe location where LeBlanc and Fiore are picked up is the same as where Walter White, in Breaking Bad S5E14, Ozymandias, is picked up so that he can disappear. After the vehicle pulls away in both shows, the same (or similar) dog crosses the road. Sam Caitlan, writer of this episode, also wrote for Breaking Bad. Michael Slovis, executive producer for Preacher, also worked on Breaking Bad.
- GoofsA revolver with a silencer attached to the barrel is fired several times in a scene. Almost all revolvers have a gap between the cylinder and barrel which allows gases and therefore noise out the side of the gun, rendering a suppressor useless. However the revolver used in this scene is a Nagant M1895 which is one of the very few revolvers that can use a suppressor due to it's unique ammunition and gas seal system. When the hammer is cocked the cylinder cams forward onto a lip protruding from the back of the barrel. Additionally the ammunition used by this revolver has the projectile seated completely withing the case so the lip of the case forms a seal against the back of the barrel.
- Quotes
DeBlanc: It's called Genesis.
Jesse Custer: "Genesis"? What is that?
Fiore: [whispering] DeBlanc...
DeBlanc: It began with Heaven and Hell. Two armies fighting, two sides hating for as long as we can remember.
Jesse Custer: Heaven and Hell?
DeBlanc: That's right. The endless war. One day, thought to be impossible, but somehow, a soldier from one side and one from the other became drawn to each other.
Jesse Custer: An angel and a demon fell in love?
Fiore: Traitors.
DeBlanc: Strictly forbidden, but they didn't care. Snuck off, met in secret, and conjoined.
Fiore: *Disgusting* traitors.
DeBlanc: And then, after a time, Genesis. A thing never meant to be...
[gestures]
DeBlanc: You know...
Fiore: ...came to be.
Jesse Custer: So you're saying this Genesis is some sort of... angel demon... baby?
DeBlanc: If by "baby" you mean the most powerful entity ever known, the singular force that could shift the balance of power, and threaten all of creation, then yeah, it's a baby.
