Sleight of hand experts will enjoy seeing the references from Expert at the Card Table. If you are familiar with Erdnase, have a look at the list of executive producers and you'll get a chuckle. Very slow paced with tedious dialog. 10 minutes of two men talking about "Joe" reminds one of the opening scene in Die Walkure where it takes the guy 10 minutes to ask for a glass of water.

It took a while to grasp the Scottish accents, but well worth the effort. Watched the last scene 3 times to get it all. Twisty plot with flashes of a grim future - unstable newbie grifter well played. How these types of people just roll in and out of an encounter with their victims with such ease - completely absent of remorse, yet to have such a strong code among themselves. Gotta see this one again!

The film holds audience interest throughout but the depth of the movie is only foreshadowed, not substantiated, until the end. By the end It comes off as smart and original. As a native speaker of American English, I was not able to catch all of the dialogue. I'm sure I missed some details, but not enough to detract from my enjoyment or overall understanding.
I reverse 1 star for the really deplorable like Saw, torture porn.
but this is so boring. I couldn't watch it- kept fast forward hoping it would get more interesting
