My husband and I recently watched this show, just to kill time .... and we were hooked. I am sad they didn't complete the series. I hope someone picks it up now that streaming is popular and 5 - 10 minutr mini-series is more often seen. This show was well-writren and witty. Each episode made you eager for the next and is better than the regular boring, endlessly dragged out series that are popular today.
This web series has (had?) potential, but only 8 episodes appear to have been made. Each episode is about 6 minutes long, so if you lump them all together and discount the recaps and credits, it's about 30 minutes of actual content.
So basically consider that the series is a pilot for a show that never got off the ground. This is unfortunate because there is a nice mix of comedy and fantasy in what there is. Erin Karpluk has a good history with dramedy having logged four seasons as "Erica" in "Being Erica."

The content that is available to view, made it seem like this could have been a great show. It's unfortunate that it was cut so very short. I feel that someone should take up this show and make a run of it.
I am not even an enthusiast of this kind of stuff, gaming etc, but I know just enough to enjoy the references and more importantly the characters are great, and the story is intriguing and good fun.
But (as fan of Buffy and Charmed) i was left wanting more, much more.
It's enticing, funny but with serious gems (pun intended) included.
If wizard powers worked in this world I would totally cast a spell on Netflix so I could watch this show.
Seriously, it has a style and relevance all its own, while sharing the humour of shows like Buffy. Someone needs to pick this up and take it on, help it reach its genius, which is clearly there waiting.

It's a shame that this little gem didn't get finished. It's a very entertaining series with great actors and excellent writing.
It could have been very silly and childish, given the fantasy aspect of it. But the lead actress makes it feel authentic, like this could occur for real. .
I wonder what happened? I suppose they only had funding to make a few episodes and nobody wanted to pay for the rest of it?
Too bad. It's far superior to most of the fantasy and science fiction garbage put out by mainstream media outlets. Canada has produced a lot of great actors and good shows despite their small market and limited budgets.
I'm still glad I watched it even though the story was just getting going when it ended.
