Last Friday, rumors started pouring in that Amazon Studios could be in the process of creating a Lord of the Rings TV series. However, they won't be doing it without emptying their pocketbooks, a Lot.
Before we get into it the nitty-gritty details, it is worth noting that the deal between Amazon Studios and J.R.R. Tolkien's estate has not been finalized. Therefore, the deal could fall through at any moment. Now that that is out of the way and we've had a weekend to sober up to the idea that Amazon may be producing a Lord of the Ring TV series, in conjunction with Warner Bros. Television, we can talk about how this deal could be the most expensive in TV history.
Recently, the Tolkien estate began shopping the Lord of the Rings rights to several big name studios in hopes of creating a TV series, based on the late author's book series.

Peeking behind the scenes of filmmaking is fun, but can also be heartbreaking at times. Checking cinemas to see what's playing is one thing, knowing what films were planned but (just) didn't manage to get made is another. One of the best examples of these never-made-films was the Nazi zombie flick Worst Case Scenario more than ten years ago, a project which became a bit of a sensation in pre-production when two extremely well made proof-of-concept videos were put on the Internet (you can find those here and here). Alas, that project ended up scrapped, but the director of those videos was Richard Raaphorst, and he went on to make Frankenstein's Army. Recently, he's been involved in projects like The Profundis, and has been setting...

Bill Cosby was antsy enough that he didn't want to wait at home Tuesday, because he showed up to the courthouse where a jury is deciding if he sexually assaulted Andrea Constand. Cosby's wife, Camille, did not show today. The jury deliberated 4 hours Monday night before calling it quits for the evening. Cosby faces 3 sexual assault charges, each one carrying a maximum of 10 years in prison. Worst case scenario for him ... it would amount to a life sentence.

A new report compiled by Forbes suggests Warner Bros. has no plans to announce firm release dates for any of its future DC movies – Aquaman notwithstanding – until gauging the performance of Justice League in November.
Those allegations were buried in a piece about Wonder Woman, its success, and why scheduling issues will likely prevent director Patty Jenkins and Gal Gadot from re-teaming anytime soon. Don’t worry, both are still contracted for the next chapter in the story of Diana Prince, but with Jenkins attached to develop a TV series – not to mention Gadot’s commitment to Justice League – it’ll be some time yet before moviegoers catch a glimpse of a Wonder Woman solo movie that takes place in modern-day America.
Toss in the development woes that have plagued The Flash solo movie and, as things stand, the only other DC film that has a release date to call...

Getting a new character to work in comics is nearly impossible. The harder a company tries to push a character the more comic fans often reject their efforts. Faith is not necessarily a brand new character. She has been about of the Valiant universe since the Harbinger series launched in 2012. However, the creators at Valiant saw she had the potential to become a breakout hit and they were right. Last year she got her first solo title and both fan and critic response has been overwhelming positive.
Now Volume 3 has been released and her growth as a character continues. This volume contains two main stories along with some side tales that include an appearance from Hilary Clinton. A notable achievement for a Valiant and for those worried about a forced in political agenda you are perfectly safe.
