This behind the scenes documentary covers a lot of interesting and illuminating ground on the making of the edgy low-budget indie black comedy "Cheap Thrills." First-time director E. L. Katz openly admits that it was a huge daunting challenge to shoot the entire picture on an intense 12 day schedule. Trent Haaga talks about how he wrote the first draft of the script in 2008. Cast members Pat Healy, David Koechner, Ethan Embray, and Sarah Paxton all discuss their characters and how much they loved the script. Moreover, we also learn about the house that was used as a main location for the film, the dog eating scene grossed out everyone on the set, a blackout caused the production to lose several hours of shooting time, the movie was shot during an extremely brutal sweltering heat wave, and the scenes at the strip club were done on the last day of shooting. Best of all, this doc really captures the stress and exhaustion of making a movie on a tight budget and schedule. Recommended viewing for fans of the film.
