The film is already shot like a porno with dialogue on part with most pornos. The film does well as a no-holds-barred violence exhibition, with gruesome torture and medical procedures throughout (even though the gore is amateur hour). However, the entertaining set pieces are derailed by grating, over-the-top acting that renders the film as painful to get through as what this family's victims go through. In its current form, it's 20 minutes too long, which is a problem for a movie that's 90 minutes and change.
Shame...with a budget and a rewrite this could have been something.

Coming from a person who appreciates well-done shock cinema and horror, well this just wasn't.
Eric Roberts was once an up-and-comer who started with the compelling movie "King of the Gypsies" and also was brilliant as Paul Snider in "Star 80," but those were both a long time ago.
This movie is a cheap piece of trash hoping to capitalize on the Hostel and Saw "extreme torture" genres, but someone forgot to get a decent script and decent actors. I thought at least the vicious, psychotic cannibals would get their comeuppance at the end but no. If you're any kind of fan of horror or even torture porn, steer clear.

Acting- laughable
Plot- terrible
Writing- deplorable
Pointless movie, absolutely pathetic, irritating actors....i can't even describe how bad the acting was. Avoid this at all costs.

The people rating this movie so high must be part of the cast and crew. The acting was pitiful. The story had plot holes so big you could drive a truck through them. Don't waste you time on this one. You could do better things like watching paint dry.
For the love of all things both holy and unholy I can't seem to figure out WHY this thing is so highly rated. My logical conclusion is that the people that rated it so high were either...high themselves or like kpinsonat stated they worked for the film. The acting was, well let me say I have seen elementary school plays that had better acting. The dialect between the brother and sister was like two grown adults trying to act like they were five. I am pretty sure they have sex with each other although they never show it, but it's insinuated through the whole painful movie. The parents, they were like Ward and June cleaver from the Twilight Zone. The best acting came from the patient with no tongue. I won't even go into the woman having an orgasm while she ate. When they did actually act it was so overdone, like beyond over acting. I laughed through this whole movie, partly because of the really bad acting especially between the brother and sister but at the special effects. Whoever was their QC person needs to be fired, like seriously. Maybe also fire your "special effects" team as well. You can't use THREE different types of fake fingers in a matter of seconds in three different scenes... it doesn't work. Speaking of getting new careers. Actors, please just don't. Stop acting now. You are terrible at it. The brother and sister team however could have a future in porn, I don't know there are some pretty warped individuals out there that might be into that kind of thing. Just please for the love of god STOP ACTING in actual movies. You're terrible at it. Speaking of porn that is what you can compare this acting to...a really bad cheesy 1970's Ron Jeremy flick. Yep same level of acting. Also the people who wrote and directed this should be ashamed of themselves for wasting almost two hours of my time that I will never get back.

Think I may have finally found the worst movie ever made!
Cringe worthy acting and dialogue, and a laughable plot.
Ejected the dvd after 15 minutes and threw it in the bin. Wouldn't even inflict this on a charity shop.

Listen I like bad movies I can admit it but this! Like no how was this made.
The actors, the "twist" everything like I think I made better movies when I was a kid for school projects.

I enjoyed it. The acting is good. The story holds well together. I especially liked the contrast between the family's perfect manners and their job (cutting people alive), which is of course deliberate, not 'bad acting', and which gives a comedy twist to the film.

I read the premise for this movie on one of the free streaming services and thought it sounded pretty good so I gave it a shot. I knew I was in for a dog when the opening credits listed Eric Roberts as one of the stars! If you're fan of streaming free horror movies, like me, you can't swing a dead cat without hitting an Eric Roberts movie. You may not know this, but Mr. Roberts is now the most credited actor in IMDB history with almost 800 credits. Heck, he has over 45 credits this year and it's only March!! This movie lacks good writing, good acting, good lighting, I could go on. The lines are delivered with zero feeling and droning monotone and timing between the actors in delivering the lines is atrocious. Kim Poirier does an "okay" job as Robert's daughter, but even she can't save this pile of doodoo. I was fast forwarding through the end of the movie when I came upon some outtakes so I stopped to watch them and was shocked that even the outtakes were painful to watch. I mean really, have you ever watched outtakes that you didn't laugh at eve a little? Avoid this one.

Now , don't think you're gonna watch a great horror, thriller movie here. But, trust me I didn't actually get bored with the story or the acting , and the overall screenplay of the movie. It seemed the actors all did their parts, some prosthesis looked cheap on camera but they did put in an effort to make it as realistic as possible so full marks for that. This movie is not for the squeamish either it has its fare share of blood and gore, so if you're not into those movies, avoid. But don't trash this , its B movie fun.
It's fun and silly and not meant to be taken so seriously. It's a humorous combination of the archetypal wholesome American family (like the Cleavers) with the dysfunctional deviousness of the infamously sadistic Sawyers (Texas Chainsaw Massacre). Maybe the Cuttermans are just their rich, pretentious cousins or something. The brutality is great, the graphic depictions of torture and medical procedures were ok, the blood bothered me the most. Yeah the acting was over-the-top, but the cheesiness only added to it's charm, not took away from it. Give a go, and enjoy and appreciate it for what it is.

I watched this movie last night and to my surprise it was actually quite good.
Very interesting story about a family of rich cannibals who sell their victims body parts in the black market, and eat what´s left LOL!
Gory effects are alright, all practical effects.
The acting, even though it´s not Oscar worthy, it´s definitely adequate for this movie.
By the end of the movie there is also a nice plot twist.
