    Magic Moments

I am interested in films about psychiatric and psychological themes since years. "How I Learned to Love the Numbers" about obsessive-compulsive disorder ("magical thoughts") is my favorite at the moment. It is intelligent, haunting, sometimes even humorous and it is without self-pity and mawkishness. The filmmakers point the mental disorder extensively and intelligibly without boredom. Congratulation! I am really psyched. Other good German films about mental problems are "Ein Tick anders" or "Vincent Wants to Sea" about Tourette syndrome. An international classic about psychiatric ward is "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest".
