Curse of the Phoenix

This is incorrectly listed on Prime/freevee as Ghost Ship (2002). Didn't actually watch it as obviously realised very quickly it was the wrong film. There's just nowhere to comment that it's listed wrong but here!

This seems to happen a lot on prime and the other prime channels. I spit on your grave is also listed as the remake when it's the original or the forge in versions of films listed as the English. Even the cast and "X-ray" is for the wrong films. It's a tad annoying especially when you go looking for a specific film and get something completely different. You'd think they'd check before listing at least.

I wont go too much into the plot here, except to say it's not really a horror movie rather than a supernatural mystery / drama that reminded me some what of Wuthering heights. The plot focuses on a group of tour guides on a 19th century ship. One of the characters keeps seeing visions of a woman committing suicide. Is this the ghost of a long dead passenger from the boat? The Good - Likable, down to earth characters that act somewhat like real people - Spooky scenes on the ship are well shot and has a great ambiance - An interesting paranormal mystery the has an air of classic literature to it - A slow burn , but has a good enough momentum to keep you engaged - Inbetweeners actress Lizzie Stables needs to be a future scream queen

The Not so good - The extras in this movie are comically bad, just look at there reactions - The plot gets a little convoluted , partially towards the end - Some of the visual effects are a little on the cheap side

Overall i did enjoy this through back to a classic haunting mystery film . It does feel a little bit TV. But an interesting plot and likable characters along with the comedy extras made some a somewhat enjoyable watch
