I didn't have high expectations going into this movie, but I was hoping it would at least be somewhat entertaining. However, I left disappointed mainly because the movie was sooooo boring and bland. I struggled to even finish it. I think even a stoner would get bored. The film follows Daniel Baldwin and his two daughters, who just so happened to be named Mary and Jane, who are trying to sell weed to get out from under a drug lord. However, that is pretty much as far as the plot goes. The scenes are just kind of thrown together randomly, and the movie jumps all over the place. And you can tell the actors didn't have time to practice their lines at all. Also, the editing is really bad, and the sound quality is off. The one bright spot is Kelley Jakle, who is super cute and does okay with what she is given. However, I worry about her career if she is making movies this bad. I would suggest skipping this one unless you want to mock it.
I really liked the cast for this movie so I ended up watching it on Tubi.
Mr Baldwin has actually quite a bit of screen time along with Vern Troyer.
The story is about the mayor (Baldwin) who legalized weed in town and grows his own stash to sell at actual stores. He's completely in debt with The Chief (Keith David) 270k and Vern's character like 2million plus. Everyone betrays everyone a whole bunch of times.
The mayors 2 daughters run a store and they narrate the film.
A lot of the movies jokes fall flat.... hard. The 2 main girls try so hard to be funny but they just can't do it. Baldwin is actually pretty decent in this and David really doesn't have much screen time.
The movie also has a bunch of where the audio if clearly dubbed. There was a part in the beginning where the two main girls are driving a car where one girls audio is fine but the other is so quite you can't even hear what's she's saying. It was really weird.
Overall it was pretty disappointing... not that I was expecting much to begin with.
Edgar hightower (dan baldwin) is the mayor, and owns a cannabis company. His daughters are mary and jane, of course. Lots of cussing. Smoking doobies. While driving, even. Eighteen minutes in, we've stumbled on a plot. The numbers aren't adding up on the town's budget, and it looks like mayor edgar and his daughters have been buying things with the town credit card. Edgar has even borrowed money from the local gang. They need a plan to get out of all this debt. Some funny gags. His secretary thinks the mayor is talking to her, but he's actually talking to the girl under his desk. Everyone is smoking pretty much the entire movie. A couple familiar faces in here... aries spears is the angry, abusive cop, and verne troyer is the head of the gang. Some sound issues. About five minutes in, when the two girls are in the car, it must be poor mic placement, since we can hear mary, but not jane. At nineteen minutes, the dialogue echoes for about five seconds. More mic issues. Odd ending... it just kind of ends. Did they run out of film? Time? Money? Directed by robert johnson. Story by michael snowden. This had a fun premise, but is so low budget, it came out kind of cheesy, and ran out of steam. Imdb shows that verne troyer died in 2018, but this film wasn't released until 2020. It's possible that when troyer passed away, they wrapped it up and called it done.
