- Hiyori and Bishamon (female characters) have bath/shower scenes infrequently over both seasons. Bishamon, a goddess, is fully naked a few times, with a thin strand of her hair just barely covering her breasts so that it isn't *technically* full toplessness. Buttocks are also seen from the back/side. Whenever nudity appears, it is always censored to some extent by environment, hair, or limbs, even if just barely.
- There are panty shots from some of the girl characters in both seasons. Characters include Bishamonten, Kofuku, and Hiyori.
- A doctor listens to a teenage girls heart, her bra and belly button is shown
- One character attempts to grope another in her sleep; however, he is stopped, and repents of his wrongdoing.
- The goddess Bishamonten usually wears a battle outfit consisting of a skimpy bra top and miniskirt.
- A group of people all are inspected by a doctor. This involves them disrobing. One woman's full backside is seen. You can see another's under boob. Lastly, a man strips down and twirls around with his robe obscuring his butt and groin (played for laughs).
- The OVA has Yato getting his clothes burned off while skiing. Rear nudity is seen briefly. Played for laughs.
- Yukine has a bath scene. After realizing it's Hiyori's bath, he's flustered and stands up. His bare buttocks are seen briefly, with an object slightly censoring them. Played for laughs.

- A fair amount of violence is present in this show, such as creatures getting slashed at,exploding,then imploding(with the change of the screen's color), god vs god and god vs goddess fights.
- The main character Yato cuts off a bad guys hand

- A female character gets partial amnesia and forgets her memories of a male character. In an attempt to get her to remember, he whispers in her ear (a bit seductively), "If you really can't remember me, then get in bed with me" -- referring to the strange (but innocent) circumstances of their first meeting in a hospital bed.

- Yukine is overcome by blight, nearly turning into a phantom, during his ablution in episode 9, season 1. His appearance during this sequence has demonic characteristics, such as bat-like wings and red eyes covering the infected part of his body.
