- Perhaps a characteristic of a filmmaker is that you make some films and some you don't. Especially for that one "best" film of yours that did not go ahead, you probably fought harder and put a lot more time into it than those films that did go ahead. Result: Unfortunately, your best film will always remain invisible. Or not? This probably happens to all of us filmmakers: You dream (of) a film, you start working with passion, your film becomes more and more beautiful and even better, you live completely for this - and then something happens that prevents it from happening. continues... you continue to struggle for a while, but in the end your best film is canceled. And then you also have to let him go, because you have to move on. "My best film that was never made" is a small ode to all those wonderful film projects that were never made.—Paul Ruven
