The plot and story line stinks. This is unfortunate because both protagonists are good actors here (and in the other novelas they have been in). But even good acting can't save a badly written story. For example, the female protagonist gets plastic surgery to change her look so she can come back to seek revenge without anyone from her past recognizing her. BUT she looks exactly the same! It doesn't even make sense that they would NOT recognize her. Also, I am all for female empowerment, but this novela does a bad job of displaying this message. Don't even get me started on the mother and son relationship.

It's La Patrona.... 2023

As you watch it, it's like dejà vu. If you've seen La Patrona, this storyline is identical. You know exactly what's going to happen and how each scene is going to play out. The production and special effects are better.
The cast is OK, but I compare each character to La Patrona and some are lacking. Some of the acting is painfully bad... I've had to fast forward through a few scenes that drug on. Also, I'm not a fan of when the antagonist uses children as part of their sinister plan. That happens often in this show.
It's an entertaining show, but if you're looking for a telenovela with a new storyline, this certainly isn't it.
