CBS has ordered a pilot for Rush Hour.
Cougar Town creators Bill Lawrence and Blake McCormick have penned an adaptation of the 1998 movie, which originally starred Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker.
The story will follow a stoic, by-the-book Hong Kong police officer who is partnered with a cocky local Lapd officer, who has no interest in working with a partner.

Once upon a time, studios, networks, and TV stars didn’t want anyone to see their busted pilots, preferring to send them off to die quietly — and alone, like an elephant. But a pair of failed pilots have been put online in the past two weeks — and legally too! Today, Sarah Silverman got 20th TV‘s blessing to post Susan 313, a 2012 pilot she did at the studio for NBC that was a no-go. Written by Dan Sterling and loosely based on Silverman’s life, it’s about a woman whose long-term relationship ends and she moves back into the apartment she had the foresight not to give up. Earlier this month, Greg Garcia got CBS to put online his single-camera pilot Super Clyde. Atom Egoyan's new Ryan Reynolds-led drama, formerly titled "Queen of the Night," will now be called "The Captive". The story follows the father of an abducted child who still thinks she's alive eight years after she's been taken.
Scott Speedman, Mireille Enos, Rosario Dawson, Kevin Durand, Alexia Fast and Bruce Greenwood also star. The film will likely premiere on the festival circuit in early 2014. [Source: The Film Farm]

Here’s why CBS ultimately rejected the high-concept comedy Super Clyde, according to EW’s own James Hibberd: It “was deemed off-brand for the network and the net’s other comedies came in strong. Plus, successful comedy blocks are about creating flow, and there was also nothing compatible that CBS had to pair it with.”
That reasoning is understandable, if disappointing for fans of ex-Harry Potter star Rupert Grint. But after watching the pilot for Super Clyde — available now on CBS.com — I can’t help but wish I had a time-turner, which I’d use to travel back and...

During pilot season, the networks try out a multitude of different shows before ultimately deciding which ones to pick up for more episodes. Some of these go on to be hits, but we almost never see the pilots that didn't get picked up. Enter "Super Clyde," a comedy pilot from My Name Is Earl 's Greg Garcia about a young boy that inherits a lot of money and wants to use it as a force for good. Set to star Harry Potter 's Rupert Grint and famed British comedian Stephen Fry, the pilot ultimately went nowhere, but in a rare move CBS has put the pilot online. You can watch the pilot in its entirety by clicking here . In addition, here's a statement from Greg Garcia on the pilot: Hello Friends, I shot a pilot for CBS called Super Clyde this spring and it didn.t...

Syfy has ordered an amazing-sounding reality series. Jim Henson’s Creature Shop Challenge will basically be the creature version of Face Off with Jim Henson‘s son, Brian Henson as lead judge.
CBS has made it possible to watch the pilot Super Clyde online. The rejected comedy, from Raising Hope and My Name is Earl producer Greg Garcia, starred Rupert Grint as a fast food worker who receives an inheritance and uses it to become a superhero. Stephen Fry plays Clyde‘s butler, Tyler Labine plays Clyde’s brother and overall the pilot shows a frustrating amount of promise. Even if there won’t be more episodes, it’s worth watching for fans of Garcia’s previous shows.
Plus, who can say no to Rupert Grint in a sidecar?
It’s official. Jennie Garth has joined Tori Spelling‘s ABC Family pilot Mystery Girls.

Rupert Grint's American television debut in "Super Clyde" won't be airing any time soon, but CBS was kind enough to put the pilot episode of the show online anyway. The superhero-influenced sitcom stars the "Harry Potter" alum as the show's titular character.
"Super Clyde's" pilot, which can be viewed here, was put online at the request of creator Greg Garcia. He sent out an email explaining why he chose to make the pilot episode available to viewers. It can be read below:
"Hello Friends,
"I shot a pilot for CBS called Super Clyde this spring and it didn't wind up on their fall schedule. But the good people at CBS have been kind enough to make the pilot available online.
"I'm really proud of this show. Mike Fresco did an amazing job directing and the cast is great. Rupert Grint, Stephen Fry, Tyler Labine and Justine Lupe.

TV networks and studios almost never make pilots that hadn’t gone to series available to the public. In a rare exception, CBS has put Greg Garcia‘s single-camera pilot Super Clyde up online. (You can watch it here.) The move is a result from a request by Garcia, who sent out an email tonight announcing the pilot’s availability. Super Clyde was one of two pilots Garcia had at CBS this past season, with the other, the multi-camera The Millers, getting a series order. Super Clyde stars Harry Potter‘s Rupert Grint as a shy comic book fanatic who discovers his calling after he inherits millions of dollars from his eccentric uncle. Clyde, a mild-mannered fast-food worker, is bequeathed $100,000 per month for the rest of his life, and — with the help of his butler, Randolph (Stephen Fry) — begins his thrilling new life as a superhero, secretly helping strangers in need.

Rupert Grint is currently promoting his appearance in Cbgb, but he came very close to being a CBS comedy star. Last spring, The Eye network shot a pilot for a single-camera comedy called Super Clyde, in which the former Harry Potter star played a comic-book dude who inherits a boatload of money from a crazy uncle and decides to become something of a superhero, giving help to those in need. Raising Hope creator Greg Garcia shot the pilot (which also stars Stephen Fry) at roughly the same time as The Millers; only the latter show got greenlit to series. But even though Super Clyde didn't move forward, Garcia and fellow exec producer Michael Fresco lobbied CBS execs to at least let folks see their finished product online. And, in a bit of a surprise move, CBS said yes."The worst part about it not ending up on the fall schedule...

October 6th, 2013, 4:40am– We were all so excited when Rupert Grint was cast as the lead in the CBS pilot Super Clyde, and we were all so disappointed when the show wasn’t picked up for a full series. However, we will now all be able to watch the one episode that Rupert actually shot in Los Angeles in March and April of this year. The show’s creator Greg Garcia was asked about his projects on reddit.com during an “Ask me Anything” session: I shot a single camera pilot recently called Super Clyde starring Rupert Grint that didn’t get picked up, but I’m very happy to say that CBS is going to put it on the internet on October 9th — both on CBS.com and a bunch of other places. I was really happy with the way it turned out, so I’m excited people are going to see it.

It’s summer, O.W.L.s have been taken and we’re all itching to get back to the castle, which means it’s time for another update to Hogwarts’ Alumni Newsletter.
Last time around when we caught up with the gang, we were excited that Daniel Radcliffe was set to star in a version of Frankenstein as the hunchbacked assistant Igor. This week, a bunch of new projects have been announced that have us thrilled for Hogwarts’ former (and current) favorite sons and daughters. I won’t rehash previously announced work, just the things they’ve added to their growing résumés recently.

So long, Slytherin: Draco Malfoy's headed to TNT.
According to Deadline, "Harry Potter" actor Tom Felton has joined TNT's "Murder In The First" as Erich Blunt, the CEO of a tech company called Applicon.
TNT's "Murder In The First" mystery pilot centers on San Francisco Pd homicide detectives Terry Seagrave (Taye Diggs) and Hildy Mulligan (Kathleen Robertson), as they work on a case that seems like a maze.
Although mostly a film actor, Felton had a role in last year's "Labyrinth" miniseries and is set to appear in this year's "Full Circle," alongside Minka Kelly, David Boreanaz, Kate Walsh and more.
And Felton's not the only "Harry Potter" actor trying to land on the Us small screen -- Rupert Grint, who played Ron Weasley in the wizardly franchise, was cast as the lead in CBS’ comedy pilot "Super Clyde," but it didn't get picked up to series.

CBS has picked up a TV adaptation of Bad Teacher, the 2011 film starring Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake.
The premise of the comedy series mirrors that of the movie, with Diaz's character to be played by The Guilt Trip and Fringe actress Ari Graynor.
The show follows the inappropriate, foul-mouthed central character (Graynor), who becomes a teacher after her wealthy husband leaves her.
The show is most likely to be screened in midseason, as the network's fall schedule is already established.
CBS recently announced six new series for the 2013-14 season, including Sarah Michelle Gellar and Robin Williams comedy Crazy Ones.
However, Rupert Grint comedy Super Clyde and a Beverly Hills Cop series were passed on by the network.

Plus, Disney pulls a gluten joke and does Elementary modernize a literary hero right?

Stephen Moffat commented that the next season of Doctor Who has already been plotted, since the show has to work far in advance.
I don’t know how to react to Jezebel‘s praise for Amy Schumer and Schumer’s new sketch comedy show. She’s an incredibly witty comic, but it feels like every time I start really enjoying her work she says something that crosses the line. Still, so far Inside Amy Schumer has been a pretty funny show.

The Beverly Hills Cop TV pilot is not dead and could still make it to air, a report suggests.
Producer and distributor Sony Pictures Television is confident that either a broadcast or cable network will pick up the project, after CBS declined to order a series, according to Broadcast.
Eddie Murphy reprised his big-screen role of Axel Foley in the pilot from The Shield creator Shawn Ryan, with Brandon T Jackson starring as the show's lead - Axel's son Aaron.
"It's still in contention in the market; there's still lots of interest," a source said. "You will find that show on air."
CBS rejected a number of high-profile pilots this season, including the spinoff show NCIS: Red and Rupert Grint's sitcom Super Clyde.

May 13th, 2013, 11:20am– On Saturday Rupert Grint attended The Door Youth Project Charity Concert at the Sub Rooms in Stroud. May 11th, 2:54pm, 2013– Unfortunately, news has hit the web tonight that Rupert Grint‘s pilot project Super Clyde has not been picked up by CBS. Yesterday, we got the first signs that it would be very very difficult for the pilot to get picked when The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that four comedies had been picked already (Crazy Ones, The Millers, Mom and We Are Men). There were many very good pilots up for graps this year on CBS, and Super Clyde was just really unlucky not to be picked. Today several of Rupert‘s cast members on the pilot confirmed the bad news. We’re about a week from starting to get more definitive feedback on this year’s pilots when the networks start screening them. That is probably my favorite part of pilot season when dark horses and underdogs that had stayed largely under the radar suddenly race to the front of the pack.
