At the end of the episode, the Fringe team hotwires a vehicle. It is either the same or an identical station wagon that Peter and Walter drove in Seasons 1-3. It is a 1970 Vista Cruiser.

Goofs
When Olivia is describing to Peter the wall of missing persons behind him, the "mind's eye" visual shows a wall of missing persons fliers, one of which states "LAST SEEN JUNE 12 2033". The current year is 2036 and they have been frozen in amber for 21 years since 2015, so the wall being recalled and described was from 2015 or earlier, making the 2033 date nonsensical.

The Underground

Walter, a genius with several screws loose, has left tapes that explain his plan. His distractibility throws roadblocks all along the way. He is a hedonist in that he is like a dog seeing squirrel. If he enjoys something he forgets what the real issues are. Anyway, the group is led to northern Pennsylvania, where they encounter a group of people who have holed up so they can continue to catalogue history. In the process, Astrid keeps finding clarification and it seems there is a kind of quartz that is the next answer. What follows are acts of courage from those who have so little. There is a disease that is tearing through the meager population.
