Goofs
Walter claims that he recorded a video of the solution to rid the world of the Observers, on his "Betamax recorder" yet the cassettes recovered (confirmed in the next episode "The Recordist") are clearly VHS cassettes.

Now We're Rolling

First of all we have the concerted effort to get at Walter's videotape containing his plan. This requires great effort to use the vent system for heat pipes. His lab is closed to entrance but this is a way in. We also have a guard who has been apprehended by them and a test of the humanity of the people trying to do in the Observers. Are they turning just as bad? This is a key element. We get another glimpse of the utter indifferent cruelty of the Observers. It makes one wonder that if they were wiped out, they wouldn't feel anything anyway, sort of like the Star Trek Borg. The beauty of this episode is this series is going to end with a quest and we will be taken on the journey.
