Singer Sabrina Carpenter was seen out on a date with Irish actor Barry Keoghan just a week after her music video led to a scandal in the Catholic Church.
The Diocese of Brooklyn was horrified at the music video Carpenter filmed in a 160-year-old Catholic Church in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Released in time for Halloween, the bloody music video to the single “Feather” was directed by Mia Barnes and begins with interior shots of the 19th-century Catholic Church. Through the song, the camera follows Carpenter around as men harass her – and are met with instant karma.
As Carpenter sings lyrics like, “I feel so much lighter like a feather with you off my mind,” cat-callers are run over by a truck, gym bros fight each other to the death and a creepy photographer dies in an elevator shaft.
In the end, Carpenter dances around the church in a short black dress,...

What does it mean to be a Disney Princess? This could be a question regarding corporate decisions, as the Walt Disney Company has a specific classification for their "Princess Line" media franchise and toy line, but it's also a bit existential. Does a character have to be canonically royal to be considered a Disney Princess, or are they something else entirely? As it turns out — there are rules to be considered an official Princess, with Disney currently recognizing 13 characters with the distinction. She must play a central role, cannot be introduced in a sequel, must be royal by birth or marriage (or perform a heroic deed), must be human/human-appearing, and the film can't be a flop or unbelievable hit.
Elsa and Anna are both so popular that they are not lumped in together with the Princesses, and heroine figures like Alice (of Wonderland...

Jenna Ortega has undergone a remarkable transformation. She first began doing national commercials as a kid before making the leap into TV, initially scooping up bit parts on network television. Slowly, those roles got bigger and bigger until her first break came with landing young Jane in The CW's "Jane the Virgin." She suddenly had everyone's attention, and she then entered her Disney era with roles in "Elena of Avalor" and "Stuck in the Middle." Eventually, Ortega was ready to break away and do other things, but worried she would be put into only one box.

Sofia the First is a relatively new animated series produced by Disney. What I mean “relatively new” is that it wasn’t old enough for it to use too outdated an animation style, yet not too new to use sophisticated and upgraded animation techniques. Sofia the First was just quite right as it ran from January 2013 up to September 2018. The premise of the series revolved around Sofia’s mother marrying the widowed King Ronald II of the kingdom of Enchancia. The episodes of the show followed Sofia’s adventures as she adjusted to her new life as a royal person and

There are more stories from Sofia the First coming to Disney Junior. A spinoff series from creator Craig Gerber is in development as part of his overall deal with Disney Branded Television.
The studio announced Thursday that Gerber has extended his overall deal, which will now include the spinoff series set in Royal Prep Academy, a school for princes and princesses in the fictional kingdom of Enchancia.
Gerber also has a previously announced series in development at Disney with Kris Wimberly about a time-traveling treasure hunter who recovers lost family treasures. The series is created by Wimberly and will be executive-produced by both Wimberly and Gerber.
“Craig’s commitment to representing diverse characters and stories with messages of compassion, leadership and resilience is a throughline in his career. His ability to tell entertaining, heartfelt and meaningful stories that resonate with both children and adults alike is unmatched,...

Sadly, some classic movies and one popular show in particular are leaving Netflix in October to make room for a spooky slate full of fright. “Schitt’s Creek” fans have until Oct. 2 to binge all six seasons before the show heads to Hulu for streaming. Any “After” fanfiction readers have until Oct. 8 to watch where the story begins between Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) and Tessa (Josephine Langford).
Other favorite films leaving the streamer in October include “Footlose,” “The Notebook” “Bridget Jones’ Diary,” “8 Mile,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “Miss Congeniality,” and most of those titles depart on Halloween. TV shows leaving include “Naruto” Seasons 1-9, “Sofia the First,” “Hemlock Grove” Seasons 1-3, and of course all six seasons of “Schitt’s Creek.”
Here’s a full list of what’s leaving Netflix in October and the dates that each title leaves:

We’re officially entering the spooky season and while Disney+ already dropped a few scary things in September, they’re doubling down in October. One of their most Halloween-centric offerings on display is “Werewolf By Night,” which audiences first learned about just a few weeks ago during Disney’s splashy Marvel and LucasFilm panel at the D23 Expo.
Directed by longtime Pixar collaborator, and acclaimed composer, Michael Giacchino, “Werewolf By Night” is the first Marvel Halloween special. The trailer was shown during D23 Expo and looked like a beautiful tribute to old school horror films, but also heavy on the (possibly implied) gore and scares. Filmed in black and white, the special feels a complete throwback to the old-school Universal frights of the past; think “Bride of Frankenstein” or “The Invisible Man.” The special follows Gael García Bernal as a man with the ability to become a werewolf, and explores...

“Encanto” is a lively, lovely, lushly enveloping digitally animated musical fairy tale. It’s the 60th animated feature produced by the Walt Disney company, and to borrow a phrase from the old Disney TV series, it’s set in a wonderful world of color — a rapturously imagined, rainbow-gorgeous village tucked inside the misty green mountains of Colombia, where the members of the Madrigal family lead a magical existence. The ornate designer tiles of La Casa Madrigal, their idyllic mansion, turn into a synchronized army of domestic helpers, and each family member is endowed with his or her own superhuman gift. Actually, one of them has no gift. That would be the heroine, Mirabel (voiced by Stephanie Beatriz), who is just like us — which means, within her family, that she’s the odd girl out.

Last Year’s Winner: “Rick and Morty”
Still Eligible: No.
Hot Streak: The Best Animated Program category hasn’t seen a repeat winner since the category was divided into “One Hour or Less” and “More Than One Hour” divisions, and “South Park” took home the latter prize in 2008 (for its “Imaginationland” episodes) and the former in 2009 (for “Margaritaville”). That being said, “Rick and Morty” has won both times it was nominated (in 2018 and 2020), so one could argue it’s a dominant force whenever it’s eligible.
Fun Fact: “The Simpsons” and “South Park” are the only two programs to win more than two trophies in this category. The iconic Fox series has 11 wins (most recently in 2019) while Comedy Central’s landmark program has five wins (with the last coming in 2013). With one more win, still-active shows like “Bob’s Burgers” and “Rick and Morty” could become the third to join these elite ranks.

It's not so strange for Netflix to cast our favorite stars from the '80s on Stranger Things - over the years, the gritty sci-fi series has blessed us with performances from Winona Ryder, Sean Astin, and more. And now Cary Elwes! In the third season, we see this beloved actor who dominated the decade. If you don't already know him, the English actor played the extremely handsome farm boy (and your childhood crush) Westley in The Princess Bride. Over three decades later, he's guest starring as Hawkins's Mayor Larry Kline, a major proponent of the shiny new Starcourt Mall.
The Princess Bride (below) is Elwes's biggest project, but it's certainly not his only one. The English actor, now 56 years old, has had a prolific career, lending his talents to movies, TV shows, animated works, and theater productions. His work has been in many different pockets of pop culture over the years.

The recently announced third “Walking Dead” series has cast three major roles, Variety has learned exclusively.
Alexa Mansour, Nicolas Cantu, and Hal Cumpston will all star in the new series, which is said to follow two female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the zombie apocalypse. A second lead female role has yet to be cast.
AMC would not comment on specifics for any of the characters, but sources describe Mansour’s character as a good-natured rule breaker who lives for today. She is likable and funny on the outside but sad on the inside. Mansour recently wrapped shooting a guest starring role on the CBS drama “Madam Secretary” and previously starred in the horror film sequel “Unfiltered: Dark Web” for Blumhouse Productions. Her other TV credits include “Seal Team,” “The Resident,” “Bull,” “How To Get Away With Murder,” and “Law & Order: Svu.”

Sorry, Emmys, but the only awards show you can really trust — because they’re voted on by critics and journalists — have stolen your thunder. The Television Critics Association has announced its nominees for the 2018 TCA Awards, which features an eclectic group of nominees with a heavy emphasis on once-presumed underdogs.
“Killing Eve” didn’t just slay viewers (in a good way) this year, but is the leader in nominations with five mentions, including Outstanding Individual Achievement in Drama recognition for both stars Jodie Corner and Sandra Oh.
Also represented well is FX’s “The Americans,” which has been a TCA favorite in years past and racked up four nominations for its final season, including honors for Keri Russell and Matthew Rhys, as well as Outstanding Achievement in Drama and Program of the Year.
Other shows receiving multiple nods include “Atlanta,” “The Good Place,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” “Barry,” and “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.

Many fans of the long-running ABC drama Grey's Anatomy are curious about just how much their favorite TV doctors take home per episode. Previously, Ellen has gone on record about her decision to stay loyal to Grey's. "My decision to stay on was based solely on age. At 33, I was wise enough to know my clock was already ticking in Hollywood," the now 48-year-old said. I decided that I would stay on Grey's and be grateful and try to ride it out for as long as I could.
