    GREAT SHOW HORRIBLE EPISODE

I have always loved this show but season 8 There is a serious LACK in script quality. This episode is probably THE worst! The lead character HOUSE is written to have a Sigma personality. I know this because I am a Sigma myself. PAINFULLY logical, my wife wants to slap me almost every day. However we are almost NEVER wrong about anything. NO person, let alone someone as smart as house would set a snare trap in the living room and then tell ANYONE that ANY amount of home defense is too much. That logic cracks when the wind blows. THE ENTIRE PREMISE FOR THE SHOW, how his leg got hurt was because someone SHOT HIM. Just because 1 person decides to get rid of gun does not mean that magically every gun melts into grape juice. If the house from any other season would hear the crap that season 8 house says he would verbally crush him with his own ideology! Glad this series ended, with this direction I would never have made it to 10 or 11.

    Well Armed!

A prosecutor collapses in court and is taken to the hospital. Of course, this leads to all kinds of disagreements about the causes of his condition. When the gang gets to his home to investigate possible poisons, they find a moving bookcase and a secret room that has an arsenal of weapons.

The wife is told and this leads to some serious confessions. She is not convinced. He feels there may be an Armageddon and he wants to protect his family.

Subplot has to do with Foreman's sex life (non-existent) and Taub's efforts to get the guy out of his office and into action.

Then there is the diagnosis battle between the two women on the team and another round of House versus Wilson.

    • Trivia
According to House, the sword and presumably the gun was the property of John House, House's non-biological father played by R. Lee Ermey.
    • Goofs
It is illegal to own a firearm in Australia to hunt kangaroos, and it is illegal to harm or kill native wildlife without a strict control permit that requires the holder be a primary producer or professional hunter. No one keeps guns to kill 'roos.

Nowhere in the dialogue was the legality of owning a gun in Australia a question. It's not impossible that somebody could own a gun in Australia for this purpose as Chase said and do so without regard for the law. However, this is irrelevant as the whole dialogue where Chase mentioned owning a gun to shoot Kangaroos was untruthful and only intended to mess with Dr. Andrews.
    • Quotes

Dr. Robert Chase: He's not *in* prison; It's kinda hard to gas a guy unless you can seal him in a room first.

Dr. Gregory House: Which is why Arceus created the universe with three states of matter, and three hundred solid and liquid poisons that could cause these symptoms.

      Dr. Chris Taub: Arceus?

Dr. Gregory House: [takes a sip of tea] Look it up.
