- Sam Winchester: You know she and Bobby had a thing, right?
- Dean Winchester: Yeah!... Yeah, I knew that.
- [pause]
- Dean Winchester: Really?
- Sam Winchester: Yeah! Kind of a foxhole thing. Very Hemingway!
- Dean Winchester: Huh...
- [hesitant]
- Dean Winchester: She and I kinda went Hemingway this one time, too.
- Sam Winchester: Alright, well...
- [with a creeped out look]
- Sam Winchester: that happens.
- [they awkwardly stare at each other]
- Dean Winchester: Wait, you too?
- Sam Winchester: Look, it was a while back. We ended up on the same case; she was stressed and I... I didn't have a soul?
- Dean Winchester: That's a lot of foxholes.
- Bobby Singer: I can kill werewolves, fix a Pinto and bake corn bread. I'll be damned if I can't get zen.
- Bobby Singer: [to Victoria and Annie as Victoria is explaining that Van Ness is the killer] Give 'em a minute. They've gotten slower since I've been away.
- Annie Hawkins: Sam! Dean!
- Bobby Singer: Honey, don't you think I've tried that? I shouted myself hoarse.
- Annie Hawkins: But I'm right here!
- Bobby Singer: Well, now you know how all the ghosts who have ever tried to talk to us feel.
- Bobby Singer: [Trying to get Sam and Dean's attention] Guys... I just made that curtain shimmy. Could you look in the right place at the right time?
- Bobby Singer: What else did you say this place was, other than a whorehouse?
- Annie Hawkins: It was a lot of things. It was a boarding house, a school, a speakeasy.
- Bobby Singer: Yeah, well, thing about speakeasies... hell of a lot to hide.
- [Finds secret door]
- Bobby Singer: I still got it.
- Bobby Singer: [about Annie] I'll miss her.
- Dean Winchester: Me too.
- Sam Winchester: Yeah.
- Bobby Singer: Well, you didn't know her like I did.
- [Sam and Dean exchange looks]
- Dean Winchester: Bobby?
- Bobby Singer: Wait, you... You can see me?
- [Sam and Dean are speechless]
- Bobby Singer: You're staring, you know.
- Victoria Dodd: Annie's in terrible danger. We all are.
- Sam Winchester: From?
- Victoria Dodd: Whitman Van Ness.
- Dean Winchester: But he's dead.
- Victoria Dodd: [to Bobby] I thought you said they were good.
- Bobby Singer: Annie's here, too, by the way.
- Dean Winchester: Hi, Annie.
- Annie Hawkins: Hi, guys.
- Bobby Singer: She says you both look uglier than she remembered.
- Bobby Singer: You said there were two ways.
- Haskel Crane: Oh, you could use explosive anger and pure, red-hot rage, but that's impossible to manufacture. Sorry.
- Annie Hawkins: Makes sense. Like poltergeists, vengeful spirits.
- Bobby Singer: I am vengeful.
- Victoria Dodd: When this house was a brothel, I worked here as a fancy lady. He slit my throat.
- Annie Hawkins: "Fancy lady"? A hooker?
- Annie Hawkins: There's my unfinished business right now.
- [Yells at Debbie and Dudley]
- Annie Hawkins: Kids! Hello? You're dead.
- [Gets no response]
- Bobby Singer: Well, they're not the brightest bulbs on the string.
- Bobby Singer: You're saying we should move crap with the power of Zen.
- Haskel Crane: I'm telling you to let go of all that. Calmly tell the thing what to do.
- [Bobby concentrates on candle]
- Haskel Crane: You're getting tense.
- Bobby Singer: You're not helpful.
- Annie Hawkins: I want a Hunter's funeral.
- [Bobby is surprised]
- Annie Hawkins: Oh, come on. It's better than this... stuck to this house, somewhere between existing and not. No, I'm... ready for some peace.
- Annie Hawkins: You ran away from your reaper? On purpose? That's why you're still here? You stupid, crazy old...
- Bobby Singer: Hey. I remember a time when you liked how crazy I was.
- Dean Winchester: What were you thinking, Bobby? You could be in heaven right now, drinking beer at Harvelle's, not stuck...
- Bobby Singer: Stuck here with you? We still have work to do. I just thought that was kind of important, Dean.
- Sam Winchester: Is Annie here?
- Victoria Dodd: Yes.
- [Sam and Dean glance around]
- Victoria Dodd: You can't see her.
- [Dean looks at the floor]
- Victoria Dodd: No, you're not standing on her.
- Bobby Singer: [a Victorian ghost is eying them] Is it me, or am I being checked out?
- Annie Hawkins: No, stud. I'm being checked out.
- Bobby Singer: [Looking at a room full of spirits] My people. Hi. I'm Bobby, and I'm a ghost. Hoping for a little ghost orientation here.
- [No response]
- Bobby Singer: Je m'appelle Bobby.
- [Still nothing]
- Bobby Singer: Chilly.
- Sam Winchester: Where'd you come from?
- Victoria Dodd: Here. I was a fancy lady.
- Dean Winchester: A hooker?
- Bobby Singer: You know, you and me, we... burned our fair share of bones, sent a lot of ghosts packing.
- Annie Hawkins: It's a little different when you're on the receiving end.
