Ridley joins Carol on the investigation into a young man, who fell to his death off a building. The investigation is made complicated some vital evidence into the death of Ridley's wife and daughter emerges.
This really did leave me wanting more, it's been a fine series, and it concludes with yet another strong episode.
An engrossing, engaging story, and finally we get a few answers to questions that have been posted in the first three episodes. Finally we learn about Michael Flannery, Aidan McArdle is excellent once again.
Two particularly great scenes, the big scene with Jack being one, and that moment where Ridley and Carol clash, the show needed that, it's lacked that sense of conflict, it worked very well.
The acting was first rate, and has been impeccable throughout, Dunbar was terrific here. Nico Mirallegro may just have stolen the show as Cal though.
Beautifully filmed again, stunning location work, credit to the production team, once again, wardrobe must genuinely all be colour blind.
Four weeks have flown by, I've looked for news about a possible second series, and so far no information can be found, hopefully the show returns, for me, it's been a cut above,
8/10.
