Most Marvel fans have been worried sick to stomach about Kang following Jonathan Major’s dismissal from the Marvel Studios after the actor’s conviction for assaulting and harassing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. But Major’s Kang was a big bad in the making for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

After Kang’s cameo in Loki season 1, the character played a crucial role not just being the villain of Ant-Man & the Wasp in Quantumania but also setting the tone of the potential upcoming projects from Marvel. Now, recent Marvel reports revealed two potential changes for the upcoming MCU flick.

We all remember Vision, right? He was created after Tony Stark almost doomed the world to be destroyed by a robot, then killed by Thanos and kind of, sort of brought back to life by his wife Wanda in "WandaVision," where he went through a whole identity crisis. He was everyone's favorite Marvel character for about five minutes when he said the whole "What is grief, if not love persevering" thing.
Well, now Vision is back, whether we want it or not. According to Variety, Marvel just ordered a Vision TV series for 2026, with Paul Bettany returning to star as the titular character. Additionally, "Star Trek: Picard" executive producer Terry Matalas will serve as a showrunner of the "Vision" show.
Vision, of course, was rebuilt as a proper synthezoid android by S.W.O.R.D. and sent to destroy Wanda and her messed up Vision monster. This Vision was...

Marvel Studios is getting back into the Vision business. After years away from the Marvel Cinematic Universe after the emotionally devastating conclusion of WandaVision, Paul Bettany is getting rewired for a new series starring Marvel’s most endearing synthezoid. Marvel is developing the untitled Vision series for a 2026 premiere with Star Trek: Picard‘s Terry Matalas in the showrunner position. The door opened on a writer’s room this week, with the series being one of the first projects ordered at Marvel in quite some time.
Paul Bettany returns to the iconic role for the untitled Vision series. In WandaVision, the Scarlet Witch brought Vision’s physical body back to life. However, memories of his past life were muddled. As Vision uncovers the mystery behind his short-circuited memory, he realizes all is not as it seems. During the finale, his memories return thanks to an all-white Vision created out of...

Marvel is looking to a new Vision for its next TV offering.
The Vision character played by Paul Bettany will be at the center of the studio’s first new series order in some time. The untitled show is currently on track for a 2026 premiere on Disney+, with Star Trek: Picard’s Terry Matalas installed as showrunner. A writers room for the series opened this week.
Bettany will reprise his role as Vision, which spans three Marvel films and the WandaVision series (plus voice work on the three Iron Man movies as Jarvis, Tony Stark’s artificial intelligence creation). At the end of WandaVision, Vision’s physical body was brought back to life (with an all-white appearance), with no memories of his previous incarnation; his memories are restored by the spectral Vision Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) had conjured to manage her grief as she put a hex on the town of Westview,...

Mike Colter starred in Marvel Television's Luke Cage from 2015 to 2018 and, like the rest of those heroes, his time as the character reached an abrupt end amid a wave of cancellations. That was Netflix's way of responding to the launch of Disney+, but after a couple of years of waiting, Marvel Studios is free to do what it likes with Power Man and company.
The Defenders TV shows are supposedly considered "canon" to the wider MCU and, with Charlie Cox and Jon Bernthal reprising their roles as Daredevil and The Punisher in 2025's Born Again, could Colter eventually join them as Power Man?
The actor was always something of a divisive choice, and replacing the 47-year-old with a younger lead more in line with the comic book version of the character perhaps makes the most sense. For what it's worth, Colter remains open to playing Cage again, even...

With Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings director Daniel Destin Cretton no longer attached to Avengers 5, he's been able to focus on Disney+'s upcoming Wonder Man series.
While the show has never been "officially" announced by Marvel Studios, we have a new update from Variety. In a piece addressing the decision to bring back the "Marvel Television" label to better differentiate big and small screen stories, the trade confirms that Wonder Man will fall under the "Marvel Spotlight" banner Echo debuted with in January.
That's meant for one-off, character-driven TV shows which can serve as standalone projects with fewer connections to the wider MCU. However, with Echo, that decision seems to have been made relatively last-minute seeing as it set the stage for Daredevil: Born Again.

Before the Disney+ shows, Netflix was the home of the Defenders Saga, featuring several street-level superheroes. Among these was “Luke Cage,” which ran for two seasons and gained considerable popularity, thanks to Mike Colter’s portrayal of the titular character.
Despite its success, “Luke Cage” was canceled after two seasons. The cancellation was attributed to creative differences and Marvel Television’s strategic shift to move its properties away from Netflix.
With the release of ‘Echo,’ the Defenders Saga has been officially integrated into the mainline MCU. Anticipation is high that ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ will reference many of the former Netflix shows, and fans are eagerly hoping for some of these series to continue on Disney+. Krysten Ritter has expressed her enthusiasm for reprising her role as Jessica Jones, but what about Luke Cage? Mike Colter, the actor behind Luke Cage, has expressed a more reserved interest. Marvel has been coming up with a lot of new strategies to fix the mistakes they have made these past few years. One of the most creative solutions has to be the concept of Marvel Spotlight. Many fans were upset with how every single project in Marvel had a level of continuity to another, which made casual watching impossible.
Alaqua Cox in and as Echo [Credit: Marvel Studios]The franchise’s solution to this problem was to introduce an entirely new category of shows that are more focused on character arcs and are not too connected to past and future projects. Like any good superhero, Marvel Television has returned from the dead. The label is what the Marvel Netflix shows like "Daredevil" and the ABC ones like "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." were made under. Marvel Television was rendered defunct in 2019 after Marvel Studios absorbed it. Now, though its operations remain under the studio's purview, its name is being used again as part of an effort to more cleanly delineate the projects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Marvel Studios will continue to be the label of the films, while Marvel Television will headline upcoming Disney+ programs like "Agatha All Along" and "Daredevil: Born Again." Marvel Animation will cover projects like the excellent "X-Men '97" (which is not part of the MCU), while Marvel Spotlight is for small-scale projects like "Echo" (read our review here).

Marvel Studios Head of TV, Streaming, and Animation Brad Winderbaum recently revealed in an interview that this is to help viewers know they can “jump in anywhere” in the MCU and still understand the plotline.
“We want to make sure that Marvel stays an open door for people to come in and explore,” Winderbaum told Comic Book. “On the heels of Endgame, I think there was, maybe, a little bit of an obligation to watch absolutely everything in order to watch anything.”
Winderbaum continued, “As you know, as a comics fan, they’re designed to just pop in, find something that you like, and use that to enter you into the universe, and then you can explore and weave around based on your own preferences.”

Marvel Television, headed by Jeph Loeb under the watchful eye of Marvel Entertainment Chairman Ike Perlmutter, closed its doors in 2019. At the time, Disney gave full control of the MCU to Kevin Feige, leading to Marvel Studios developing a slate of projects for Disney+.
While Marvel Television made a lot of missteps (we recently broke many of them down here), Marvel Studios quickly learned that developing TV shows wasn't as easy as they might have believed.
Approaching them like movies with "Head Writers" in place of showrunners (and pricey reshoots which fixed glaring issues in post-production) has forced them to go back to the drawing board. Following Daredevil: Born Again's creative overhaul, future small screen projects will be made like traditional TV shows.

Although Daredevil: Born Again features the return of Charlie Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio as Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk, the series originally didn’t have any other connection to the Netflix series. When Daredevil: Born Again was forced to shut down last summer due to the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige and other executives grew displeased with the direction of the show and demanded a creative overhaul. According to Cox and D’Onofrio, that overhaul has brought “a lot” of crossover with the original show.

Since the overhaul, we’ve seen other members of the original Daredevil series return, including Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, Elden Henson as Foggy Nelson, and more. Since 2021, Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock and Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin of Crime have shown up in various MCU TV shows.
We've seen the Man Without Fear in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Echo, with Wilson Fisk appearing in the latter and Hawkeye. However, these two haven't shared the screen since Daredevil wrapped up on Netflix six years ago.
That's set to change in Disney+'s Daredevil: Born Again and, in an interview with TV Insider, D'Onofrio revealed that the revival originally featured no significant links to Daredevil.
"It originally wasn’t going to be at all, but now it’s a lot," the actor said of crossovers between the two. Cox chimed in to say there's now "a lot" of them, presumably meaning Foggy Nelson, Karen Page, Bullseye, and The Punisher were M.I.A. in the previous iteration of Born Again.

While the actors have made several MCU appearances since their former Netflix series was canceled – most recently in Echo – Daredevil: Born Again will get back to putting Cox and D’Onofrio at the forefront. “It’s fun,” D’Onofrio told TV Insider at the Disney Upfront presentation in New York City on May 14. “The best thing about it is that we like each other and we appreciate each other’s work,...

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is one of the most talked-about upcoming MCU projects, partly due to the fan-fueled hype and partly due to its turbulent production that’s been plagued with everything from SAG-AFTRA strike to creative differences in what the showrunners wanted and what the studio wanted.
Recently, we got a confirmation of the release date. The show is supposed to arrive on Disney+ in March 2025, with 9 episodes in total. Fans were disappointed with this information considering that the original outlines for the show promised 18 episodes.
Despite that, we have to mention that the show was rumored to be a two-part,two-season story, meaning that 9 episodes will be released in March and 9 episodes at some later date. Charlie Cox’s recent comments only support that idea.
Speaking to Deadline, Charlie Cox revealed his future in the MCU along with D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, and we gotta say we’re excited about it.

Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox teased Daredevil: Born Again as Disney+ has targeted March 2025 for the series to premiere.
The duo attended Disney’s upfront presentation to advertisers on Thursday and teased what viewers can expect.

Last year, a creative overhaul saw The Punisher's Dario Scardapane replace Matt Corman and Chris Ord as Daredevil: Born Again's showrunner. Now, all signs point to the Marvel Studios series delivering the take on the Man Without Fear we've been waiting to see in the MCU.
TV Line caught up with Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio at the Upfronts in New York yesterday and asked the former whether the retooling has brought Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk more in line with Netflix's Daredevil.
"Not exactly the same, but much closer," Cox teased. "And potentially much improved."
D'Onofrio added, "It’s hard to comment because I want to say so much about both the [Netflix] show and this show, and the change that happened, but in the end, the last few months of work we did was written beautifully and directed beautifully. Personally, I think it’s as intense as we’ve ever been.

Fans have been waiting for the Disney+ production, Daredevil: Born Again, since it was announced by Kevin Fiege during the 2022 San Diego Comic Con. Starring Charlie Cox as the titular character, the show is alleged to be a soft reboot of the Netflix series Daredevil, which ran for three seasons from 2015 to 2018. After numerous delays because of script changes, as well as the SAG-AFTRA strikes, the show is finally ready to land on the streaming platform.

Marvel has been known to be quite unjust towards specific characters in their collection. The perfect example of this would be Danny Rand, better known as Iron Fist. He is one of the most beloved mystical characters in the Marvel Universe. Despite this, the character has not had the best experience when it comes to live action.

While the fans have contrasting opinions when it comes to the 2017 Netflix series, its cancellation was not appreciated by anyone. However, now that Daredevil is getting another opportunity through Daredevil: Born Again, what is stopping Marvel from doing the same with Rand, and what better opportunity than his 50th anniversary?
Marvel’s Celebrates 50 Years of Iron Fist
Iron Fist made his debut in the world of comics in May 1974 in the fifteenth issue of Marvel Premiere. Created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane, the character has become iconic for many different reasons.

Yesterday evening, we learned that Daredevil: Born Again will premiere on Disney+ next March. That's later than expected, but the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strikes slowed things down, as did Marvel Studios' decision to creatively overhaul a series which wasn't working in its previous form.
TV Line spoke to Charlie Cox, confirming that a total of nine episodes were shot for the series. When Daredevil: Born Again was announced, it was as an 18-episode TV show, so something has clearly changed.
However, this appears to confirm claims from a few online scoopers who have said the series is being split in two, with the other 9 episodes now likely to serve as Daredevil: Born Again "season 2."
In a separate interview (which you can watch below), Cox also revealed that production has wrapped on the series. Given the expense associated with taking the show back to the drawing board, it's possible the rest of...

Last night during Disney's 2024 Upfronts presentation, we finally got release dates for Agatha All Along and Daredevil: Born Again, as well as confirmation that Ironheart will debut on Disney+ sometime in 2025.
New logos for the shows were also unveiled, and while teaser trailers were screened for those in attendance, they have not (and likely won't be) released online.
Different versions of the teasers are sure to be officially released before too long, but for now, we have a breakdown of the footage (via IGN).
The Born Again promo sees Matt Murdock don his familiar red costume, as his voiceover warns someone that the "entire system is against you... it's often David vs. Goliath." We then catch glimpses of Kingpin, Foggy Nelson, and Karen Page, and shots from a brief action sequence.
Right at the end, Murdock is asked, "what kind of a lawyer are you." He responds with, "a really good one,...

We've known for some time now that 2024 is something of a recalibration year for the Marvel Cinematic Universe after a rough past year for the blockbuster franchise. But with Wolverine & Deadpool just weeks away and X-Men '97 keeping the Marvel flag flying high on Disney+ right now, plans for Kevin Feige and co's big comeback are already well underway. And, during an announcement-laden Disney Upfront presentation yesterday, we got some big release updates for the studio's upcoming slate of Disney+ series.
Firstly, the House of Mouse — not Harkness — confirmed that they've been leading fans a merry dance with the titling of their upcoming WandaVision spin-off series, centred around everyone's favourite badass (and just plain bad) witch. It's not Agatha: House Of Harkness, The Coven Of Chaos, The Darkhold Diaries, or in fact The Lying Witch With Great Wardrobe. Turns out it was Agatha All Along, well, all along — cheeky devils!

Marvel Television was originally a separate entity from Marvel Studios, spearheaded by Jeph Loeb under the watchful eye of former Marvel Entertainment Chairman Isaac Perlmutter.
Before being shut down in 2019 (when Disney handed full control of all things Marvel to Kevin Feige), Marvel Television produced the likes of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Netflix's Defenders slate, and even the likes of Cloak & Dagger, The Runaways, and M.O.D.O.K.
The vast majority of characters were off-limits to Marvel Television, with Marvel Studios' desires prioritised by Disney. For Feige, Loeb's outfit was an annoyance, particularly as much of what they produced - Inhumans, for example - damaged the MCU brand.
Marvel Studios has since discovered that producing TV shows isn't as easy as it looks. Last year, the decision was made to creatively overhaul Daredevil: Born Again and the studio's small screen output as a whole, with "Head Writers" finally replaced with proper showrunners.

Disney+ has revealed the release dates for its WandaVision spin-off, Agatha All Along and Daredevil: Born Again.
After several, tongue-firmly-in-cheek title changes, Disney+ has finally given its WandaVision spin-off a final title: Agatha All Along.
The cast, including Kathryn Hahn, Joe Locke and Patti LuPone, were promoting the series at Disney’s Upfront event yesterday, revealed the title and also when we get to see the series itself.
Agatha All Along will premiere on Disney+ on 18th September with two episodes, continuing with weekly episodes after that. There was also a trailer, but this hasn’t made its way online yet. We’ll make sure to share it once it does. However, IGN has detailed what the audience at the presentation saw, if you’re into that kind of thing.
“We can say that the coven is strong,” Hahn told Deadline at the event when asked for details about the new series.

Marvel’s upcoming WandaVision spin-off starring Kathryn Hahn as Agatha Harkness finally has an official title—for real this time—and a release date on Disney+.
The Agatha series has been through several titles over the years, including Agatha: House of Harkness, Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries, and Agatha: The Lying Witch with Great Wardrobe. It turns out those constant title changes were the result of the titular pesky witch, and the actual title was unveiled during Disney’s 2024 Upfront Presentation: Agatha All Along. The first two episodes of the series will debut on Disney+ on September 18th.

The Marvel Studios series and WandaVision spinoff starring Kathryn Hahn finally has a set title.
Agatha All Along is the official title of the series, it was revealed at Disney’s upfront presentation Tuesday. Hahn and co-stars Joe Locke and Patti LuPone were on stage making the reveal, with the trio also unveiling the release date of Sept. 18. The show will premiere with two episodes, which is standard for Marvel.
The series has had several titles since it was announced in 2021. The subtitles have ranged from House of Harkness to Darkhold Diaries to Coven of Chaos. There have been so many title changes that it became a joke, with Marvel leaning in on the constant changes. In fact, Agatha: The Lying Witch with the Great Wardrobe popped up as a title on social media yesterday.
The new title is actually the name of the Agatha theme song that debuted in the seventh episode of WandaVision.

Rita Ferro, president of global advertising at Disney, emphasized the company’s reach during the company’s upfronts presentation to advertisers Tuesday.
Before detailing the company’s daily interactions with half the world’s population, its industry-leading 11.5% share of content distribution in April (according to Nielsen) and its “billions of consumer touchpoints,” Ferro got animated. She was depicted in a short sketch that placed her in the middle of the Family Guy set, seated on the living-room couch in between Peter Griffin and his dog, Brian. (See a still from the short below.)
“Sorry I’m late – I was streaming,” Peter jokes in the sketch, emphasizing the last word of the sentence after he is shown leaving the bathroom. “I didn’t really hear the sink running in the bathroom,” the animated version of Ferro responds, before delivering a rapid-fire pitch for Disney’s wares.

Jason Kelce, who retired earlier this year after 13 years with the NFL’s Philadelphia Eagles, told the crowd at Disney’s upfront how pumped he is to be joining “Monday Night Freakin’ Football!”
While he kept his shirt on, Kelce summoned the emotional intensity of his retirement announcement. When Abbot Elementary’s Quinta Brunson introduced him, Kelce hoisted her up off her feet, prompting the TV creator to joke that she felt like she’d just been on the Guardians of the Galaxy ride.
Kelce’s retirement was magnified by him becoming a player in the widely obsessed about romance between his brother, Travis, a member of the Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs, and pop superstar Taylor Swift. As the Chiefs marched through the playoffs, the Eagles wound up at home, giving Jason Kelce the chance to...

Joan Vassos is getting another shot at love.
The 61-year-old school administrator has been cast as the inaugural Golden Bachelorette, ABC announced Tuesday during Disney’s Upfront presentation.
Vassos was an early frontrunner during Gerry Turner’s season of The Golden Bachelor. She unfortunately had to voluntarily leave the show during Week 3 due to a family emergency. During the Women Tell All, Vassos admitted that she felt there was some unfinished business between her and Turner. At times, she said it was hard not to wonder what may have happened if she’d stayed.
ABC also announced that The Golden Bachelorette, which debuts this fall, will air on Wednesdays at 8 p.m. Et/Pt before new episodes of Abbott Elementary.

“I am deeply optimistic about our company, and in a world that is so in need of entertainment is a true privilege,” said Disney boss Bob Iger today in a rare appearance on stage at the start of the media giant’s upfront presentation in New York City. “To run a company that is the embodiment of creative excellence, of great and bold storytelling, of quality, and of innovation.”
“Today we’re going to share with you the incredible projects that we’re working on. And then later Jimmy Kimmel will be out to tear them all apart. I think he’ll probably be tearing me apart too.”
As he noted from the get-go, this is the first time Iger has been in front of advertisers and other clients on an upfront stage since he ran ABC Entertainment back in the early days of Bill Clinton’s presidency.

However, there have been recent creative changes, including a reduced episode count and a shift in focus to a new premise. Additionally, beloved characters are set to make a return, much to the delight of fans.
