So Is That It?
Hitchcoc18 January 2017
There is so much going on. The Mayor is about to be done in by a discovery made on the land where his big project is being planned. Mitch and Stan are totally at odds because of what happened to the money. Terry now becomes a player (though we didn't know before). She had something going on with Rosie and the casino. Finally, among all of the stuff that's going on with Richmond, Sarah goes to visit him because of the name Orpheus, which is his name on the Internet. It would seem that some discoveries are about to be made here. There are few winners in this game. Let's see how it plays out. One thing I need to know is how Amed is doing. Other than Stan's incarceration, there seems to be no mention of him.

Rise and fall of Darren Richmond

Warning: Spoilers
This episode starts with a discovery that boosts Richmond's hopes to win the election and ends in another discovery that could possibly damage him. In the meantime, Linden continues to search for Rosie's trail that fateful night after she left the casino.

Overall, another excellent episode in the series tradition. In the end there is strong evidence that the killer is finally found, but, with this series you can never be sure. Characters are as always a central part of the show. I especially enjoyed the scene where Drexler boasts he can do whatever he likes because of politicians like Richmond and when Stan talks with his wife in jail. As always there is a certain shadow in all the characters of the show which deepens the mystery and makes everything more interesting. This episode is mostly centered on the Larsen family, especially Terry, but also progresses the story up to its final resolution. In the end we have a strong lead on the killer which should make up for a very interesting finale.

Not much to say, but after some slow episodes in the middle of the series these last ones are killers. Great characters, plot twists, moral ambiguities and a good finale. Perfect all around!

And the killer is...

Warning: Spoilers
If you have not seen the latest episode of The Killing, or if you do not want to be revealed, do not keep reading

So anyways, the last 20 minutes of episode 2 were pretty suspenseful, and I was at the edge of my seat for those 20 minutes. We finally found out who the killer was... and it was satisfying. Scream 4 was right when it said "The unexpected is the new cliché". Richmond had been the probably main suspect at the beginning of the show, and his storyline always had to coincide with Rosie's. Some might say that maybe the show needed a more shocking killer, but you see that's the point. Like Scream 4 said, the most seemingly unexpected killers is what is expected these days. Many were predicting Gwen, even I did, especially in this episode because I noticed how many time the camera reflected on her face this time and how different her facial expressions were. When all is said and done, the killer makes absolute sense, and the way it was revealed made it shocking. Also, the great thing is that we have a capable actor of pulling it off. All in all, I was very satisfied with the reveal and the killer, and cannot wait for the final episode of the season.
