In spite of almost two decades having passed since the release of the first episode, The Office’s legacy still lives on in the hearts of its fans. One of their most favorite onscreen employees, the charming receptionist Pam Beesly steals the whole romantic line of the sitcom. However, the Pam actress, Jenna Fischer, seems to stay out of the spotlight now.
It may come as a surprise, but over the course of 11 years that have passed since The Office’s conclusion, Fischer has made a number of far cries from the role which made her a star, with some of the projects with our favorite Pam actress being enlisted below.
Her first post-Office role was the one in Owen Wilson and Zach Galifianakis’ dramedy titled Are You Here (2013). This movie was received quite poorly, and the critics were sure it was a shameful waste of the actors’ talents, including Fischer’s comedy potential.

Exclusive: Comedian and writer Julian Clary (Julian Clary: Live – Lord of the Mince) will play the title role in this festive season’s London Palladium pantomime Robin Hood, with singer and travel show presenter Jane McDonald (Cruising with Jane McDonald) topping the bill as Maid Marion.
The annual Palladium show, now in its ninth consecutive season, has become an eagerly awaited staple in the West End’s calendar. It runs from December 7 through January 12, 2025. Priority booking opens 10 Am (GMT) April 25.
Last year’s production, Peter Pan, with comedy legend Jennifer Saunders making her pantomime debut as Captain Hook, and with Clary playing Seaman Smee, was a sold-out success, playing 56 performances -often two a day – to an audience of more than 123,000 at the 2,200 capacity variety house.
When tickets went on sale, there was a moment when 90,000 people were in the queue, waiting their turn to book seats.

Les Amazones d’Afrique began in 2017 as a sisterly supergroup of singers from the West African region of Mali. Founded by Mamani Keïta, Mariam Doumbia (of Amadou and Mariam), and Oumou Sangare, and convened by French music-industry veteran Valerie Malot, the collective came together through a shared musical vision, as well as the goal of championing gender equality and bringing attention to the pressing issue of violence against women.

A beautiful young Black woman sits alone at a bar, waiting for her date to show. When he does, he orders for her, brays about his job in finance, objectifies her “caramel” skin, and later, tries to secretly film her – and worse.
On a different night out, a man tells the woman that she could be a model – not runway, but print – and that while he doesn’t usually go for Black girls, she’s the prettiest one there. She witnesses another man, whose mates are bellowing about taking girls “to pound town”, taking upskirt photos in a club. She makes a beeline for them all, and not because her dickhead radar is faulty but because it’s fully operational and when she gets these men into a dark corner… well, that would be telling.

Empress Of has announced her fourth studio album: For Your Consideration, due March 22nd. Today, along with the announcement, she shared the single “What’s Love” featuring Muna.
For Your Consideration will be Empress Of’s first full-length release since 2020’s I’m Your Empress Of, and follows 2022’s Save Me EP. Spanning 11 tracks, the new record’s press release explains that it will be “a bi-lingual album that embraces camp and fantasy playing with the idea of Hollywood.”
In a statement, Empress Of’s Lorely Rodriguez explained that the title of the album is a reference to an ex-lover. “I was in love with a director and he was announcing his ‘For Your Consideration’ campaign for the Oscars,” she said. “He took me up on a hill and said he was emotionally unavailable and he kind of broke my heart. With one foot planted firmly in the Kiss Me Deadly era of film noir and the other closer to The Killing of a Chinese Bookie, writer-director Allen Baron’s Blast of Silence begins with a brutal, uncompromising invocation of birth and ends with an almost mystically sensitive death. The story of socially isolated hit man Frankie (Baron) who comes to terms with his deferred need for human connection just in time for, one, Christmas and, two, a job that will require him to be especially cold-hearted, Blast of Silence is less a manifestation of the labyrinthine plot trajectories of great noir than an early harbinger of the DIY moxie of the American independent movement.
Baron’s blunt, almost perfunctory story doesn’t reveal much about the inner workings of its central character, instead taking advantage of the downright dull aspects of New York City, a city that films (especially noir...

Last week on “The Voice,” Team Niall Horan took the stage during the playoffs as all six contestants performed for a shot at making it into the live shows. In the end, three of his artists advanced to the next round: Huntley, Nini Iris and Mara Justine. That meant the other three singers — Claudia B., Julia Roome and Alexa Wildish — were all eliminated.
Gold Derby asked “The Voice” fans to vote in our poll for which of these three was most robbed, and the results are an absolute landslide for Alexa. In fact, a whopping 72% of responders voted for Alexa, compared to just 17% for Julia and 11% for Claudia. Do You agree or disagree with those poll results? Be sure to sound off down in the comments section.

Tuesday night during “The Playoffs Premiere” on NBC’s “The Voice,” Niall Horan had the difficult decision of cutting his six-person team down to only three aspiring singers. In the end, he chose to keep Huntley, Nini Iris and Mara Justine, which meant Claudia B., Julia Roome and Alexa Wildish were all sent home. So which of Team Niall’s three eliminated artists do You think was most robbed in “The Voice” Playoffs? Vote in our poll below.
“Moving into the live shows, I think we all know that Team Niall is the team to beat,” the former One Direction superstar declared at the end of the hour. “The three moving forward are so strong and also completely different singers.” The Irish coach then reminded viewers, “I won Season 23, and I have a good feeling the winner of Season 24 is on Team Niall.”

As The Voice continued its Season 24 Battles Monday evening, one of them darn near claimed coach Reba McEntire as a casualty. After hearing Corii and Ms. Monét tear up Patti Labelle’s “New Attitude” in rehearsal, the country legend mock-fell to the floor — which seemed a pretty apropos reaction, actually. How’d the twosome do when it counted? And who else gave performances that should’ve come with a side of smelling salts? Read on…

Montserrat Luna-Ballantyne is walking in circles, picket sign raised high, with a scant group outside an NBCUniversal gate on a Thursday morning that is beginning to turn warm. The striking Writers Guild of America member (With Love) comes to NBCUniversal frequently — it’s nearby to where to she lives, and she can take the bus — but this morning is slightly different, less dutiful, than a typical three-hour shift.
As songs like Sixpence None the Richer’s “Kiss Me” and Natalie Imbruglia’s “Torn” play on a speaker at the gate, Luna-Ballantyne is doing the circuit, from one sidewalk to another, nearby one writer in a Xena: Warrior Princess t-shirt and another in a spaghetti strap dress. She herself is wearing butterfly clips, a choker and earrings shaped like the cartoon cat Luna from Sailor Moon. “I enjoy coming to themed pickets — it mixes it up a little bit,” she says while pausing.

The Cure honored their most diehard fans last night at the New Orleans kickoff of their North American tour with the first performances of Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me’s “A Thousand Hours” and The Head on the Door’s “Six Different Ways” since 1987.
Frontman Robert Smith sang the vocal to “A Thousand Hours” with his arms outstretched, asking the audience, “For how much longer can I cry like this? … For how much longer can I howl into this wind?” as his bandmates played the song’s dreamy synth-and-guitar swirls around him.

Jordan Fisher savors those 7 p.m. showtimes. It’s not that there’s a huge difference on the nights that Broadway’s revival of “Sweeney Todd” starts at 8 p.m. But the extra hour of freedom after curtain call at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre means he gets more time to spend with his family.
“I’ll get to bed an hour early and get up with my son so we can hang and have a little bit more time to chill in the morning,” Fisher says over espresso at a swanky bar in Manhattan’s theater district. He got married during the pandemic, and the couple welcomed their first child in last June. “A lot of my mornings are dictated by how late I go to bed. With a schedule like this, we go to work hours after people clocked out of their offices. My body has to get used to it.

Who would have guessed? Everything But The Girl have returned in one of the year’s most surprising—and welcome—comebacks. The married London duo of Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt quit making music together in 2000, taking time to raise their family while working separately. Fuse is their first collaboration since 1999’s underrated gem Temperamental, which topped off the amazing Nineties trilogy they began with Amplified Heart and Walking Wounded. But Everything But The Girl hit home with their trademark style of ghostly electro-pop, with Thorn’s melancholy voice floating through the glitchy beats.

When The Way Home‘s Kat walked down a staircase in a red dress to the sounds of Sixpence None The Richer’s “Kiss Me” in Episode 5, it was hardly the first time her portrayer Chyler Leigh had paid homage to the iconic scene from the ’90s teen movie classic She’s All That.
Leigh tells TVLine that the producers of Hallmark Channel’s time-traveling family drama “definitely knew” that the actress had already once recreated the moment in which Rachael Leigh Cook’s She’s All That character unveils her makeover while descending a flight of stairs to a stunned Freddie Prinze Jr.

There's nothing like a bit of time travel to muddy the present.
On The Way Home Season 1 Episode 5, Kat and Alice have the past and present running together in their minds, and it makes dealing with those unaware of their time travel a little more challenging.
Even Elliot, who is on the secret but not traveling himself, is navigating rough waters with the women who have been a part of his life for decades.
Brady's return to Port Haven was perfectly timed.
Kat and Alice both needed to reconcile their feelings from the past with the present.
For Alice, visiting the past introduced her to a man she didn't know. Young Brady didn't live up to the man she knew as her father. It made her question everything.
Upon his arrival, Alice treated her dad as if she was meeting him for the first time. She was disrespectful and spoke out of turn,...

Ultra HD puts Stanley Kubrick’s second feature film in a new light — his B&w images of New York lend a ‘Weegee’ flavor to the tale of a prizefighter who comes to the rescue of a dance hall girl. Kubrick does better sticking to the urban streets he knows so well; the cast scores via his strong direction and art museum-quality images. The post-dubbed soundtrack is the weak link, and perhaps Kubrick’s somewhat awkward flashback gear changes. But for 1955 he’s definitely a talent on the way. Kino’s disc carries an analytical commentary by Imogen Sara Smith.

Earlier this season Blake Shelton quoted an article from Gold Derby to remind everyone that he’s the most successful coach in “The Voice” history. The six-time coaching champ is hoping to make it a record-extending seven titles, but he’s feeling the heat after narrowing his team down to just five contestants. So which of them has the best shot at bringing him another championship? See our best-to-worst rankings for Team Blake below.
Next Monday and Tuesday “The Voice” will transition from its pre-taped rounds to live shows where the audience has a say in who stays and who goes. In these Live Playoffs, each of the four teams of five coached by Shelton, Gwen Stefani, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson will compete for just three spots in the following round. Two of those spots will be determined by the audience votes and the last one by coach’s choice.

John Legend‘s final Knockout of “The Voice” Season 17 was Marybeth Byrd vs. Preston C. Howell. During Tuesday’s episode, the 18-year-old Arkansas pop singer performed Adele‘s “All I Ask,” while the 15-year-old Florida crooner chose Frank Sinatra‘s “The Way You Look Tonight.” Even though Preston was an early favorite to win the championship, John decided to send him home following Marybeth’s powerful performance. Blake Shelton‘s latest Knockout pairing during Monday’s episode of “The Voice” was Kat Hammock, the 18-year-old who’s been on his team since day one, and Lauren Hall, the 25-year-old that he stole from Team Kelly Clarkson in the Battles. As The Voice’s Season 17 Knockouts continued Monday, five more acts were sent packing ahead of the Live Playoffs. Interestingly, only 20 singers will be competing in the Playoffs instead of the usual 24. Overnight voting will then put eight of them through to the Top 13; coaches Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend will each get to save one contender; and of the remaining vocalists, the highest vote-getter from each team will vie to be the season’s one and only Wild Card. Taylor Swift and Jimmy Fallon just got down to some sick beats. On Thursday night's The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Fallon and Swift took on the "Name That Song" challenge. The game is simple: The Roots play chords from a song and the players must guess the tune. Easy, right? Well... First up was a Britney Spears classic. While Fallon incorrectly guessed "Oops! I Did It Again," Swift scored a point for effortlessly knowing it was really "...Baby One More Time." And that's essentially how the game went, with the "Lover" singer crushing her competitor. In no time, she accurately guessed "Kiss Me" by Sixpence None The Richer and...

With some considerable help from Moulin Rouge! The Musical, Broadway box office held steady during the Fourth of July holiday week, even with two fewer shows on board than the previous week. Down a small 5%, total receipts for the 33 productions tallied to $34,108,643 for Broadway’s Week 6 (ending July 7).
A solid $1,331,046 of that total came from Moulin, Sro at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre, where the musical played only five previews to allow for rehearsals. The show now shifts to a seven-performance schedule until the July 25 opening night, when it begins the standard eight-per-week.
Total attendance for the 33 shows was 288,107, a barely noticeable 3% slip from the previous week, when 35 productions reported figures. More shows than not reported box office slips from the previous week, competition with fireworks being what it is.
As with the previous week, director Alex Timbers’ adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s 2001 hit movie was among the hottest tickets on Broadway.

Mel Brooks played to full houses during his two-night Broadway stand last week, adding $583,140 to Broadway’s overall pot of $36M for the week ending June 23.
Brooks’ June 17-18 engagement at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre had a total attendance of 2,967, 99.2% of capacity. The $583K figure marked 112% of potential, with average ticket price hitting $197. (The unscripted show was probably very funny – critics weren’t invited.)
In all, Broadway’s total box office for Week 4 of the 2019-20 season – $35,987,055, to be exact – held steady with the previous week, showing a tiny 4% boost. (Receipts for the five-show Regina Spektor residency at the Lunt-Fontanne will be reported cumulatively next week).
Attendance for the 35 productions was 296,070, just about dead even with last week.
Among the stand-outs for the week:

It's another op'nin' of another version of Kiss Me, Kate, the iconic Cole Porter musical that adds a sassy, meta-theatrical, mid-century twist to Shakespeare's battle of the sexes The Taming of the Shrew. With an all-star cast, the cast recording of Roundabout's latest revival has little in the way of surprise or novelty, but plenty of talent along the way.

Corbin Bleu left High School Musical fans feeling pretty nostalgic during Broadway's Kiss Me, Kate performance at the Tony Awards on Sunday. Though Bleu's HSM character, Chad Danforth, famously said "I don't dance," the actor's smooth moves during the show certainly said otherwise. The 30-year-old actor was quick on his feet as he performed "Too Darn Hot" with his costars.
Of course, this isn't the first time Bleu has shown off his dance moves on the Broadway stage. In 2010, he played Usnavi in the Broadway company of In the Heights, and he returned to Broadway two years later in the revival of Godspell. In 2016, he starred in Holiday Inn as Ted Hanover, who was originally played by Fred Astaire in the 1942 film of the same name. Get ready to have your jaw drop to the floor as you watch the cast of Kiss Me, Kate's insanely good performance ahead.

The Tony Awards brought out some of Broadway's biggest and brightest stars on Sunday night. The show started on the right note with a dazzling opening number by host James Corden and only got more entertaining from there. In addition to performances from Kiss Me, Kate and Beetlejuice, the show also had some pretty groundbreaking moments including Ali Stroker's historic win for best featured actress in a musical. Plus, Corden did a Broadway-themed karaoke session with Ben Platt during the commercial break. See some of the best photos from the night ahead!

Three years after his memorable hosting debut, James Corden returned to the Tony Awards stage on Sunday, kicking off the 73rd annual salute to Broadway and those who “do it live.”
Corden’s big number began with the host sitting in his apartment, lamenting that watching television has become more of a chore than a thrill. (No argument here.) Theatre, on the other hand, is “visceral bliss,” something that gives you “actual people in an actual place.” Inviting the audience to “trade the remote for the near, leave your couch and travel here,” James’ apartment suddenly disappeared, revealing us to be on the Tonys stage.

Call them predictions, opinions or hopes, but here are my thoughts on this year’s Tony Awards races. As usual, the roster of nominees includes a mix of consensus categories (famous last words) and the up-for-grabs. Voting closes today, so the curtain is all but drawn on the campaigning and jockeying and strategizing. Nothing left but the arguments, so add mine to the mix.
By the way, this year Tony Award administrators have pledged to crack down on voters who, in years past, might not have paid strict adherence to the rule that requires voters to see every production in a category. The administration has been keeping track of who saw what, and will disqualify fakers.
The 73rd Annual Tony Awards, hosted by James Corden from New York’s Radio City Music Hall, airs Sunday, June 9, on CBS at 8 pm Et (live)/Delayed Pt.

Nothing says '90s teen movie better than the iconic choreographed dance scene in She's All That. The 1999 film celebrated its 20th anniversary on Jan. 29, and there are more than a few memorable, quotable moments that make it a classic. Who could forget Laney walking down the stairs for the big makeover reveal? Or Zack's bizarre hacky-sack performance? Or the couple eventually dancing to Sixpence None the Richer's "Kiss Me," a song that still makes me think of my middle school boyfriend? The true highlight, though - for me, anyway - is the flash-mob dance sequence. It's teen-movie perfection, a nostalgic 10 out of 10.
Set unforgettably to Fatboy Slim's "The Rockafeller Skank," the dance takes place at the prom, where Usher - who plays the school DJ (!!!) - kicks things off by telling the crowd, "Right about now, we're going to do that dance I taught you,...

“If someone said you could not do what you loved to do, how far would you go?” That’s the central question director Scott Ellis planted in his new Broadway adaptation of “Tootsie.” This musical comedy nabbed Ellis his ninth Tony nomination for Best Director. Watch the exclusive video interview above.
From day one, Scott Ellis was adamant that the the team try something different with the source material. He told his collaborators “we can’t put the film onstage.” In 2019, with gender equality being at the forefront of conversation, there was a need to embrace that evolution in the storytelling. So when it came to the leads Michael and Julie Nichols (Lilli Cooper), Ellis asked himself “how do we make these two characters equal?”
