Charlize Theron, Kristen Stewart, and Chris Hemsworth in Snow White and the Huntsman (2012)

Goofs

Snow White and the Huntsman

Edit

Continuity

After the fight scene with Snow White and the Troll, they stare at each other for a brief minute and the troll leaves. Snow white at this point has her dress covering her shoulders clearly, when the camera angle changes showing the Huntsmen approaching her, the sleeve of her dress is half way down her arm , then again in an instant back on her shoulders.
At the beginning of the movie, when Snow enters the village after escaping from the castle, the horse's feet look black from the mud, in the next shot they are white again.
As Snow White flees with the white horse, when she mounts (at around 27 mins), it has neither saddle nor blanket. As she rides into the swamp (at around 28 mins) the horse has a not quite white blanket over it's back. When the horse mires (at around 29 mins), the blanket is gone.
While Snow White is lying "dead" in the white dress (at around 1h 30 mins), the position of her feet change between shots from being together to being separate to being together again.
Before Ravenna submerges her whole body into the white liquid near the start of the movie her hair is up. But when she rises out of it again her hair is down.

Factual errors

Ravenna plucks a yellow primrose flower from a tree branch and turns it to ash in her hand. Primroses do not grow on trees.
If this movie follows British law at all, then you can't automatically become Queen when you marry a King and he dies. Succession follows bloodlines and not marriage.

Incorrectly regarded as goofs

When Finn sets out in pursuit of Snow White, the film makes the point that William is the only bowman. Yet later, when Finn makes his attack on the faerie forest, the white hart is killed by an arrow. The bowman can't have been William because this would be out of character. William is working against Finn and has been shown to be kind hearted.

The "bowman" is not William, as it clearly shows a different man.
Snow White was locked up in the tower for years without contact to the outside world. It appears that, within a few days of her escape, she knows how to wear a harness, how to ride a horse, how to handle arms, and how to lead a battle army. However, if she was a princess destined to rule (in other words, to be a queen regnant, and not to be passed over for a male), then she would have been taught these things from the time she could understand the concepts or handle the equipment. By the age of 10 or 12, when she was imprisoned, her education as heir to the kingdom would have been quite far along.

Revealing mistakes

While fleeing the castle astride the white horse, despite having mounted and later mired the steed with neither saddle, blanket, nor reins, there are several shots where snow white's posture is much too straight for a bareback rider, but a rider in a saddle and stirrups which have been digitally removed, and where Snow White's hands are positioned exactly where digitally removed reins would be as well, and (at around 28 mins) the blanket has been left a bit too clearly visible to be all that easily missed.
In the opening scene, where the girl picks the apple from the tree, there are blossoms also on the tree. Can't have apples and blossoms at the same time.
In the opening scene where wheat is being harvested, one reaper uses the scythe 3 times on the same patch of stems yet cuts nothing each time.
During the battle between Ravenna and Snow, Snow's face hits a stone step slab and you see a burst lip, yet a few scenes later, the burst lip has vanished.
After Gus asks Snow White for a dance and she accepts, the actor playing Gus is clearly walking away on his knees. His awkward waddling gait is markedly different from the next shot, where he is shown walking into the dance area with a normal stride.

Anachronisms

(at around 27 mins) during Snow White's flight from the castle astride the horse, while passing through the village, a woman appears to be wearing either a brassiere or a bikini top or halter top beneath her flaxen blouse.
While Snow White, William, Eric and the dwarves are heading to the fairy forest, there is a lot of scenic panning. When the sky is shown, there appears to be a pair of jet trails.
In the morning following Gus's funeral pyre, and after Snow White, William and the Woodsman have crossed a stream, we see (at least) TWO jet streams in the sky.

Audio/visual unsynchronised

When Finn and the huntsman battle in the forest, Finn says, "I admire your fight, hunter." But his lips are clearly saying "huntsman."

Crew or equipment visible

(at around 1h 35 mins) A light rig can be seen near the bottom right of the screen near the candle. As the camera pans, you can fully see the light that is used to highlight the front candle stick.

Plot holes

If it only takes two (relatively minor) scars on the face to avoid being taken by the Evil Queen, why doesn't Snow White and other women do so? If, more logically, it is the youthful breath she needs (as depicted when the Evil Queen sucks the youth out of Greta) then the sacrifices made by Anna and her tribe are useless.
