In line with the previous "The Confidence Man JP" series, the screenplay writer has the formula to write the whole episode:
1. The main characters start to trick someone.
2. And then they seem to be screwed.
3. And then, HAHA, everything is anticipated and under control.
4. And finally, a happy ending with some emotion or life tenets.
The problem is that there are no hints, foreshadowing, or Easter eggs about the twist in the regular timeline before everything is revealed. All the expected "unexpected" twists come from some plots deliberately hidden from the audience, as if it is another story. Therefore, the audience cannot appreciate the cleverness of the main characters since their success results from another set of facts. Also, the "hidden" trick is expected: they set up a show to lure the victims.
One more thing, I have a CS background. I think the tricks the main characters use are often an insult to our information age when most of the information they make up can actually be refuted by simply googling or doing more cross-checks.

Overall, it is a good production with the lovable casting. However, the story is in the exact way it was developed as in the previous couple of movies in the series. I felt very excited about every reverse in the stories of the previous movie series, but after watching the same reverse over and over again makes me feel a bit frustrating, because the excitement is gone. I guess it's still a movie worth more than 7/10 stars for the first-time audience, because after all it is holding its production quality as previous movie series.
If there are more in this series to come in the future, I really hope to see some different twists in the story and makes the audience wow again.
