- TriviaThe mom and dad in the station wagon in the teaser opening look exactly like Ellen and Clark Griswold, who drove that exact same car in National Lampoon's Vacation (1983). The mom is voiced by Beverly D'Angelo (who played Ellen in all of the Vacation movies), while the dad is voiced by a Chevy Chase sound alike (Chevy played Clark in all of the Vacation movies).
- Quotes
Greta Gator: I got a few hotel rules. Rule number one: boys and girls in separate rooms. No exceptions!
Velma Dinkley: Then I guess I'm with you, Daphne.
Greta Gator: I said, *no exceptions*!
Velma Dinkley: But, I'm a girl.
Greta Gator: Oh, right. Rule number two: stay in your rooms, no matter what you hear. That includes screams, moans, wails, pounding, claws scratching, and anything that sounds like a body being dragged across a hard-wood floor.
Fred Jones: Okay...

The Creeping Creatures
The episode opens with a family on vacation who enter the creepy town of Gatorsburg.
They are meant to be in New York and dad thought he was on Broadway.
The family are chased out by giant lizard like creatures.
Mr E is the mystery man who sends Scooby Doo and the Mystery Machine out to Gatorsburg.
Once there, someone steals the engine from the van. They end up staying in a creepy hotel. A no pets policy means that Scooby has to sleep alone in the van.
At night three shady creatures are on the prowl.
Given that the gang only meet three people in Gatorsburg, it is easy to figure who the culprits are.
A silly episode which even the kids might find is a bit iffy.
