New York, arrivée d'un train à Bathery Place (1896)
If you were to give a film course on early movies then you'd probably have to argue that trains were some of the most popular movies. If you start going through a lot of these early movies then you'll notice that just about every major company of the time released something dealing iwth a train. Usually they released several movies taking place on trains or at train stations. This one here has the camera placed on the platform and then we see a train moving. Yes, that's pretty much the only thing that happens here. While this movie isn't all that entertaining, it is rather interesting to just watch it and know that it was just part of a popular genre back in the 1890s.
