Signature Entertainment has announced it has acquired the U.K., Irish and Latin American rights to horror “The Beldham” from the Coven.

The feature is produced by Talia Bella (“Cottonmouth”), Angela Gulner (“The Summoned”), Mark Meir (“The Summoned”) and Randy Wayne (“Cottonmouth”), and is written and directed by first-time feature director Angela Gulner (“Binge”). The film stars Patricia Heaton (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), Corbin Bernsen (“Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”), Katie Parker (“The Fall of the House of Usher”) and Emma Fitzpatrick.

“The Beldham” had its worldwide premiere at Sitges Intl. Film Festival 2024, and also played at Filmquest, where Gulner won best director and Heaton won best supporting actress.

The film follows single mother who moves in with her own mother to renovate a fading suburban farmhouse. Soon, she finds herself haunted by a threatening presence who seems to have designs on her infant child.

The 2011 release, directed by Andrew Niccol and starring Cillian Murphy, Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfried and Olivia Wilde, will reach Fortnite via Epic Games’ Unreal Editor. Death Row’s Good Game Champ division is handling the effort.

A game based on the Justin Timberlake-starring 2011 sci-fi action film “In Time” is launching Thursday on Fortnite as part of a new deal Snoop Dogg’s Death Row Games has struck to adapted New Regency’s film library into titles on the popular gaming platform.

The collaboration between Death Row Games’ Good Game Champ division will be developed using Unreal Editor for Fortnite (Uefn), beginning with “In Time,” which is described as “a natural fit for the dynamic Uefn platform, delivering fans an unparalleled ‘Aaa gaming experience.'”

The film it’s based on was directed by Andrew Niccol and starred Timberlake alongside Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy and Olivia Wilde and currently holds a 36% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Per New Regency, “In Time” is “set in a dystopian society where time serves as currency, the film delves into a world of stark inequalities, where survival hinges on every second.

The film also includes actors like Anna Kendrick, Daveed Diggs, and Andrew Rannells who, while known primarily for acting, are talented singers on both the stage and screen. Vampires simply can't die, at least in pop culture. Each year presents new fun twists on vampiric lore, especially as more genres blend with the classic horror folklore. 2023 saw The Last Voyage of the Demeter, Renfield, and the excellent El Conde, and 2024 will unleash Robert Eggers' anticipated remake of F.W. Murnau's Nosferatu more than a century after that original film. Murnau also directed a film titled Sunrise, but that romantic tragedy is far different from this year's similarly titled Sunrise, a vampire crime thriller which will be released in theaters and on demand January 19th, 2024 from Lionsgate. Disney Dreamlight Valley's new expansion pass, A Rift In Time, adds a significant amount of content, including a new area with three biomes and an involved story campaign that spans several chapters. The expansion introduces new resources, cooking recipes, animals, and cosmetic items that players can enjoy, as well as the ability to automate certain tasks through Ancient Machines. Players can also engage in new activities, such as playing an in-game board game called Scramblecoin, and use the Royal Hourglass to repair time rifts and uncover hidden treasures. New Disney characters like Gaston and Rapunzel are also added to the game.

Disney Dreamlight Valley is launching out of early access and is celebrating its release by also debuting a new expansion pass A Rift In Time. This expansion to the game has much more content than any of the previously seen Dream Bundles, which only had a couple of quests and outfits.

Some movies have a fascinating concept, but their execution is so poor that it wastes their potential. Coming up with a brilliant idea for a movie can be half the challenge, and a genius concept can attract a lot of people to a movie even if they don't know much else about it. Unfortunately, things don't always work out the same way in reality as they do on paper, and there are plenty of movies which let a good idea go to waste.
