Chicago Fire first premiered in 2012, and fans were introduced to Chief Wallace Boden of Firehouse 51 in the very first episode of the series as the Battalion Chief of Battalion 25. Chief Boden is played by actor Eamonn Walker, who is credited in over 250 episodes of the hit drama series on NBC, but as you likely noticed in new episodes of the show, he is not a series regular in season 13.
Officially, Chief Boden is no longer on the show because of what happened in the series finale of Chicago Fire season 12, where we saw Boden take a promotion that meant he would be leaving his role as the firehouse chief at 51. It was a meaningful exit, and now in the One Chicago universe, Wallace Boden is known to be the Chicago Fire Department's Deputy Commissioner.
But for actor Eamonn Walker, the decision made sense for both the character and for himself.

When one company is involved in a string of accidents, it’s not hard to assume something is going on. Is that the case in Chicago Fire season 13, episode 5?
The new episode will give Kidd and Severide a chance to work together. Pascal is finally off Kidd’s back for a bit. Mouch makes it very clear that Kidd is a lieutenant that Pascal wants to keep and even forces Pascal to look back at all of Kidd’s previous calls. This is something that Pascal should have done in the first place, suggesting that there’s either racism or sexism involved.
However, it looks like Pascal has been willing to eat his own hat for a bit. Now it’s time to see if that continues.

Entering its landmark 13th season, Chicago Fire faces big changes with the departure of former Chief Wallace Boden. Stepping into his enormous boots is Dom Pascal, a fiery new leader with secrets in his past. Firehouse 51’s tight-knit crew must now adapt to Pascal’s fiercely independent leadership style.
Promising both discipline and heart, Pascal earns the crew’s trust with brave heroics on his first call. Yet tensions soon flare as his strict new rules clash with established ways. Deeper unrest lies in Pascal’s complicated personal life, with a marriage shrouded in mystery.
Joining Pascal is Jack Damon, the newly discovered half-brother of veteran firefighter Kelly Severide. Yet where Severide sees family, others see disruption, with Damon stoking division among the house.
Beloved characters also take steps in their own journeys. Lieutenants Stella Kidd and Kelly Severide discuss expanding their family, while the sparks remain uncertain between paramedics...

It’s not the horror that makes prolific author Stephen King‘s works so compelling, though it certainly helps, but rather his talent for capturing the nuanced multitudes of the human condition. His three-dimensional characters leap off the pages and into Constant Readers’ hearts, ensuring their emotional journeys resonate with or without horror. It’s something writer/director Mike Flanagan is deeply dialed into, frequently capturing the essence of King’s horror stories without sacrificing any of the sentimentality. So it only makes perfect sense that the filmmaker would eventually explore King’s gentler side, adapting If It Bleeds‘ novella The Life of Chuck into a life-reaffirming, tender celebration of life at the end of the world.
Like the novella, The Life of Chuck begins at the end, or rather with Act Three: Thanks, Chuck. Schoolteacher Marty (Chiwetel Ejiofor) attempts to navigate his usual work routine, despite the world around...

Chicago P.D. has finally announced an addition for the new season.
Actress Tracy Spiridakos left the show during the Season 11 finale, ending her run as Detective Hailey Upton.
Upton was an important part of the Intelligence team, but the character was running out of road.
The previous season saw the exit of Detective Jay Halstead (played by Jesse Lee Soffer).
Losing her partner and husband put Upon in a tailspin from which she never recovered. She left Chicago to find herself again as Season 11 ended in Spring 2024.
While the Chicago P.D. cast has become familiar with adding new pieces, Upton’s shoes will be difficult to fill for anyone.
A new addition to the Chicago P.D. cast
Actress Toya Turner has joined Chicago P.D. for Season 12.
Toya plays Patrol Officer Kiana Cook, a character described as having a love for the adrenaline of the job and its stakes.

Fans were certainly excited to find out that Boden wanted Herrmann to take over as Chief at 51 in Chicago Fire. However, it’s clear that will not be the case.
At the end of Chicago Fire season 12, Boden moved on. He’s heading to HQ, but that wasn’t with some sadness. He’ll miss Firehouse 51, and he wants to make sure it is in good hands. While Severide was the Acting Chief for some time, Boden told Herrmann that he wanted Herrmann to take over. It would require some exams to get Herrmann to Captain and then Chief, but it was possible.
Herrmann was certainly taken aback. We could see the shock on his face, but he didn’t turn down the opportunity. It gave fans hope that Herrmann would end up taking over in Chicago Fire season 13.

Crack out the egg creams folks — new Spider-Man Noir news coming at you faster than you can swing a punch at a Nazi! Back in May, we learned that Nicolas Cage is set to reprise his Spider-Verse role as a 30s Pi take on everybody's favourite friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man in a new live-action Prime Video series. Today, per Deadline's reporting, we've learned that the series — formerly Noir, now more synergistically titled Spider-Noir — has added comic actor Lamorne Morris to its cast, with the New Girl star set to play Robbie Robertson in the show.
One of the first major black characters in comic books, Robertson — first seen in The Amazing Spider-Man #51 back in 1967 — has regularly featured as a Daily Bugle journo. What's more, in the Spider-Man Noir: Eyes Without A Face run, Robertson appeared as a reporter at The Negro World, speaking out against racism and tangling with Doc Ock...

The sins of Norman Osborn have returned to their rightful host, unleashing the Green Goblin on the world once more. Peter Parker had been planning for this eventuality and managed to corner Norman in his lab, where Spider-Man was able to even the playing field to get the upper hand.
Unfortunately, the Green Goblin had a trick up his own sleeve. When Peter had taken the sins of Norman Osborn into himself months ago, his twisted persona preserved itself via the Winker Device, brainwashing Peter to switch back to it when a code phrase is said.
Green Goblin activated the phrase and brought Spider-Goblin to the forefront of Peter's psyche. In today's Amazing Spider-Man #51, we see the Sinister Six plotting to take revenge on The Living Brain.
Kraven the Hunter tries to warn the Six of the threat Osborn's sins pose to them, only to be mocked by his teammates.

Chicago Fire sure loves its recurring storylines — to the point where they become repetitive storylines, instead. Season 12 saw the classic “someone’s out to get 51” plot recycled for the fourth time with the introduction of the new Paramedic Chief which pissed off many fans… But Season 12 is not yet done with inventing new rivals for Firehouse 51, it seems: this Wednesday, another one shall arrive.

The thought of losing any of our favorite Chicago Fire characters is painful, but this one cuts extra deep.
Eamonn Walker, who has portrayed Wallace Boden for the series' entire run, has announced his plans to step back from the show.
We're told that he intends to stay involved on some level, but 51 as we know it won't be the same.
Boden's absence has already been felt in the recent episodes, during which the chief was dealing with personal family issues and taking time off work.
Losing this character is a huge hit for the series. Chicago Fire is currently in its 12th season, and Chief Boden has been a staple for every single season so far.
What does this mean for 51? There's a lot we don't know, but here's what's been announced so far:

Chicago Fire introduced a new paramedic during the latest episode. It has already caused drama at Firehouse 51.
It was clear that things would get tricky after Sylvie Brett left the job, but the new Paramedic In Charge, Violet Mikami, couldn’t find a rhythm with the new person sitting next to her in Ambulance 61.
Wesam Keesh has joined the Chicago Fire cast as Jared Lennox. The character seems to know his stuff but also has a penitent for asking questions at the wrong time.
During one call, Lennox let the wife of their patient know that Violet was new to the job. It caused the woman to question Violet’s abilities.
Violet appeared very stressed that Lennox was undermining her, and when she chastised him about it later, she also told Lennox he had received his second strike on the job.

Chicago P.D. spoilers now provide fans insight about which character will be focused on in upcoming episodes.
As seen frequently in Season 10, the writers have chosen to focus on one character in each episode. This also allows other cast members to take off an episode or two.
An example would be an episode focusing on Officer Kim Burgess trying to recover from her abduction and getting shot.
This method of storytelling is a departure from earlier Chicago P.D. episodes where the entire Intelligence team was involved in each step.
It works at revealing personal stories about a particular character, but it also causes other characters to take a back seat that night.
The new episodes have begun similarly, with Detective Hailey Upton having most of the premiere episode focused on her.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for the Chicago Fire Season 12 premiere “Barely Gone.”] “51 is truly unique,” Boden (Eamonn Walker) says at the end of the Chicago Fire premiere. “Nothing stays the same forever. Change is inevitable. People will come and go from this firehouse and from our lives. There will be welcome backs, there will be hellos, and there will be goodbyes. Anyone who’s a part of 51 will always be a part of 51, and that we can hold onto, no matter what else is changing around us.” The good news: While 51 does say goodbye to Gallo (Alberto Rosende), Mouch (Christian Stolte), after that very bloody shrapnel injury in the Season 11 finale, is alive! The premiere plays with that a bit in the beginning, with a firefighter from 17 (visitors after a fire at their house) going to take his name tape off his locker and Herrmann (David Eigenberg) reacting in such a way that Mouch could be dead (“That ...

Beloved American ventriloquist Shari Lewis and her popular sock puppet Lamb Chop will be the subject of a new documentary feature from White Horse Pictures and MoJo Global Arts.
“Shari & Lamb Chop” will be directed by Emmy-nominated Lisa D’Apolito, director of “Love, Gilda,” the documentary about the late Saturday Night Live comedian Gilda Radner.
As a young female ventriloquist with big aspirations, Shari Lewis was searching for a voice who could say things that a young woman in the 1950s could not, and found it in a sock puppet named Lamb Chop. The duo debuted on CBS children’s television series “Captain Kangaroo” in 1956 and went on to attain cultural icon status in the U.S. by the end of the 20th century.
Lewis died in 1998. The documentary will examine her journey, which included winning 13 Emmys and a Peabody and authoring 60 children’s books, and her impact on children’s...

Exclusive: Below Deck, the hit Bravo reality franchise, is set to take to the seas with more spinoffs in the works as the franchise continues to make headway.
Deadline understands that NBCUniversal is in the early stages of developing two more spinoffs – a show set around Australia and one set around Iceland.
The Australia-set season is being produced by Banijay-owned producer 51 Minds Entertainment, which is behind the original show and its two existing spinoffs, Below Deck: Sailing Yacht and Below Deck: Mediterranean.
The original series chronicles the lives of crew members who work on and live aboard a superyacht during charter season.
Interestingly, the Iceland-set series is being developed by Warner Bros-owned Shed Media. It’s not unusual for different production companies to produce various spinoffs of a network’s hit franchise in the U.S., given that cable networks often own the rights to shows. This has happened...
