- A young woman and the biological mother of the title character is a serial killer who, according to a later episode, has committed at least five known homicides. She is sent to the electric chair but due to faulty wiring is not killed. She pops up about once a season to cause trouble for her baby's father and his family.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Hope's biological mother Lucy is serial killer and she gets legally electrocuted but survives and returns to attempt to kill the Chances on a few occasions. Humorous for adults but can be distressing for younger children.
