In Paw Patrol: The Movie (2021), one of the dogs at Fuzzy Buddies Dog Jail, Harris, calls Ryder on his pup pad that something big is going down at the waterfront, and Ryder and the Paw Patrol pups head to the waterfront where Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie (2023) picks up at the opening of the movie.

The main characters are all female, and the primary plot takes place from Skye's perspective, with a secondary plot from Liberty's perspective as they and the other Paw Patrol characters battle against a female antagonist.
