    • Trivia
This is the first collaboration between Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. The two of them have known each other since the 1990s before either of them became famous. They met through some mutual friends and shared meals together. She also used to watch him perform at the Improv, and she attended his wedding in 2003. He had also tried to get her to join Saturday Night Live (1975) during his time there, but she turned it down to join Friends (1994).
    • Goofs
When Danny is teaching Michael how to swim, Katherine and Palmer show up and start watching. Maggie yells to her little brother "keep going, Michael, don't give up!" They are supposed to be using their fake names in front of Palmer, so Maggie should have called him Bart instead of Michael, and/or Palmer should have asked why she was calling him Michael.
    • Quotes

      Devlin Adams: So, where's Danny?

Katherine: [pause] Devlin, Danny is at his wedding.

      Devlin Adams: Come again?

Katherine: I was never married to him. All a big lie I made up.

      Devlin Adams: Why?

Katherine: Because I couldn't stand the thought of you knowing the truth.

      Devlin Adams: Really?

Katherine: So, yeah. I'm a single mother. I have two kids I love more than anything in the world. I drive a Honda, I still have dial-up internet. I got a 2.7 GPA in college, not a 3.4. And while I'm at it telling the truth, I name my kids' poop after you. And I work for Danny. I'm his assistant. That's it.

Devlin Adams: Really? I would never have guessed this. I mean, you two had a real connection.

Katherine: He's great, he's the greatest guy, and I might even be in love with him, but it really doesn't matter at this moment because he is getting married to another person, right now.

Devlin Adams: [pause] Ian and I are breaking up.

      Katherine: What? What happened?

Devlin Adams: Well for starters, he's gay. I mean look at him

Ian Maxtone Jones: [with a group of sailors] That's a strong muscle, right there. I'm squeezin'.

Katherine: Devlin, I gotta tell you, last night, with the ass grab of the coconut, little bit of a red flag.

Devlin Adams: I've seen him do that with the soap.

Katherine: Oh! What about the iPod?

Devlin Adams: He didn't invent shit. He made his money suing the Dodgers after he got hit by a foul ball.

Katherine: [laughs] Oh God! So what?

Devlin Adams: Well, this is different?

Katherine: Yeah, I mean, why didn't we try this truth telling thing before?

      Devlin Adams: I don't know.

[They hug. Devlin sees Danny behind Katherine]

Danny: Aww, that's nice. It's nice to tell the truth. The truth is fun, isn't it? Like were you telling the truth when you said you might be in love with me?

Devlin Adams: I'm gonna leave you two. Gotta go get a divorce.

    • Alternate versions
Although it has a relatively mild PG-13 rating, when shown on U.S. broadcast and basic cable TV, there is a slightly edited version. Examples are: when Danny is helping the injured boy at the party and the boy describes a girl he was taken with, the word "nipple" is cut; Katherine and Danny have a conversation about the phrase "Making a devlin"--this is cut; Danny explains that the name of his soon-to-be ex-wife is Devlin--due to the connection with the earlier scene, this is deleted; there is a scene with Palmer nude--even though it is only from the back, and waist up, the TV version just shows her arm.

    Sandler is back...

Finally, Adam Sandler is rising up from the perpetual spiral of semi-interesting movies he has been riding for the past years. Sure, the movie "Just Go With It" looks disturbingly similar to "50 First Dates" when you look on the cover, but they are two completely different movies altogether.

The story told in "Just Go With It" is fairly sassy and Hollywoodish; a classical lovely story of sorts. Danny (played by Adam Sandler) falls in love with Palmer (played by Brooklyn Decker). They go away to Hawaii with Danny's assistant Katherine (played by Jennifer Aniston) and his friend Eddie (played by Nick Swardson). And the story rolls as the little white lies escalate and grow larger and larger. I am not going on with more of the story here, but being a 'straight off the Hollywood romantic comedy assembly line', then there is no surprise to how the movie ends. You know it straight from the minute the movie starts. But still, the movie is quite enjoyable. Although stereotypical, then the story is a good one, and you quickly get into it.

There are some really good characters in the movie, aside from the four main characters. I especially liked the plastic surgery enhanced people at the party in the beginning of the movie. They were hilarious, and drew lots of laughs.

The location of the movie, in Hawaii, really adds a romantic aspect to the movie, and it works out really, really well. You can almost feel the sand between your toes and feel the waves as they crash gently against your shins. Thumbs up on making the feel of the movie stand out this much.

There is a really good chemistry between Aniston and Sandler, and they really brought the story to life and they were in their aces in this movie.

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie, as I had expected it to be another of Sandler's mass-produced half-funny comedies. So if you like romantic comedies and are a fan of either (or both) Sandler or/and Aniston, then "Just Go With It" is definitely worth checking out. The movie has some wonderful moments, it will make you laugh and it will make your heart all warm and fuzzy.

Thumbs up, and welcome back Sandler...
