The story is great. It never gets boring. There is always something to expect.
This series I feel was more focused on the details of the story than on action sequences. I hope that is not the reason people go and check this series.
I didn't know this was a remake when I watched it so I ended up enjoying it. This kind of also raises some questions on some moral things.
// Spoiler from here Overall this involves a hotel manager slowly getting involved in reporting an illegal arms trade. He slowly gets information but later also agreed to work with the government.
// Spoiler till here
Some of the moments are well written. I found them quite clever.
Overall must see in theatres.😂 Just kidding.

Despite having Anil Kapoor who shines at a major portion and other versatile actors(not to be mentioned particularly) it's Sridhar raghavan's screenplay and Akshat/Shantanu duo's dialogues that keeps faith on the series....
The interesting part is the visual appeal overall the series handled by Benjamin and Ram Verma makes u glued to the idiot Box...
Aditya Roy Kapoor portrays as a night manager at a posh hotel does a brilliant job and his body language shows the mannerism and temperament of an ex-lieutenant showing some responsive act in handling tough roles...
Fortunately there are no added cheap thrills or twists and turns as the producers honesty in approaching the original series shows their passion towards the art form..
Overall the season 2 decides the success of the series as of now season 1 is a promising start.
Web series review: The Night Manager streaming on Disney+ Hotstar
#sanjuzzreviews #TheNightManagerOnHotstar #AnilKapoor #AdityaRoyKapur #DisneyPlusHotstar
Story:
A protagonist with a dark past, Shaan (Aditya Roy Kapur) is tasked by RAW to infiltrate the inner circle of a dangerous arms dealer Rungta (Anil Kapoor) who is masquerading as a philanthropist. A dangerous game then ensues which forms the crux of the plot.
What sets this webseries apart is the casting, absolutely bang on!!
Brilliant acting by Anil Kapoor as the ruthless Rungta, Saswata Chatterjee as Rungta's friend and right hand man, Tilotama Shome as the fiesty RAW agent, Lipika Saikia & Aditya Roy Kapoor are the highlight of the show. Shobhita Dhulipala too provides the oomph with some sizzling scenes !! Rukhsar & Ravi Behl are however wasted.
The story is a usual spy drama - nothing new there . The narrative though predictable at times is fast paced & engaging.
Another thing which suprised me was that only the 1st Part (with 4 episodes) is being streamed. Part 2 will stream somewhere in June 2023 . The makers could have easily released the entire web series consisting of 8 episodes at one go. Would have been great for viewers from the continuity perspective.
All said and done, this one's worth a dekho guys !! Watch it was some brilliant acting by the lead actors!!
Going with 3.5/5.. Adios 🙂!!

So finally I can review the entire series as the final part is out now.
Based on the British web series by the same name, The Night Manager is about a hotel manager who is recruited as a spy to enter into a dangerous arms dealers space to get info about his business, the reason for his recruitment to some extent being personal as well.
TNM is set on a commercial pitch so don't go in expecting some great level detailing and layers and all. TNM is like a very long yet well edited commercial film that you can just sit back, relax and enjoy .
What i really loved about this series is that it never really deviates from its main plot . Also, the series never stretches because you know the inevitable is about to happen and in part two , it doesn't take more than 3 hours for that to happen. Despite being 7 episodes long, the series is an easy breezy binge watch thanks to the riveting plot.
There's also a mini romantic angle between Shobhita and AKR but that thankfully doesn't interfere too much .
Everyone has done a good job in this series especially special mention to Tilottama Shome and if course our never ever aging Anil Kapoor who shines as the mostly calm yet dangerous Shelly . ARK too has done a good job .
Negatives - A talented actor like Saswata felt wasted in a rather awkward role . Also, i somewhere feel the world of Shelly could have been explored a bit more (if the makers would have thought to stray beyond what the original source material offered).
Overall, a good enjoyable watch. The first part might be a bit slow for a few but it set it up very well for the finale. But I still wish these remakes and adaptations on OTT stop , especially of these British series because recently I watched another adaptation Kafas which too was a British adaptation and then you also have Rudra . C'mon you can make original Indian series and trust me if made well they will work well (See Family man , Mirzapur, Asur and all).

Sameer lodaya.
The series is well made on trapping
The series is remake of the English version in the same title..all thanks to Sandeep the director and the entire team for making Hindi version with great stars so that viewers like us can watch some good stuff
The making is at par excellence and gives you a feeling as if you are watching some Hollywood series..the location are outclass and the overall look of the series is very stylish..the pace of the series goes very smooth and keeps you engaged where you know what is going to happen but you are still eager to see
Both Anil and Aditya looked very young and fresh and acted in more of expressions and less words with supportive females sohbita and tillotama who gave their best
The worst element the makers did by releasing it in two parts it kills all the enthusiasm which was created and as you get engrossed the 1st part ends and they show you treasure of part 2.

- TriviaSome of the scenes and dialogues are exactly like the 2016 version of "The Night Manager", while others are adapted for country and culture. Example, the first time Shaan meets Shelly and checks him in, the entire sequence from check in to viewing the suite is a replica of the 2016 version.
