American Express invests in catchy ads with celebrities like Tina Fey to promote their cards. The 2023 ad follows a mother-daughter duo enjoying sports events, using an Amex card for everything. Sofi Tukker's "Best Friend" song, used in the ad, has appeared in commercials, films, TV shows, and video games.

The American Express commercial song from August 2023 is a complete banger and one that will be stuck in viewers' heads long after the 30-second ad ends. Credit card companies pay big bucks for their commercials, and it makes sense considering how many different banks there are, vying for consumers' attention, trying to make sure the merits of their cards are recognized over those of their competitors. Banking and money can be a dry subject, so to spice it up, these companies invest a lot of money in catchy ads with cool spokespeople.

You may remember CasperCroes’ PS1-era survival horror throwback title Alisa – The Awakening (now shortened to just Alisa) from a few years back. The game has been out for a while now on itch.io, but will finally be getting a console release next month in a Developer’s Cut edition. Coming February 6th to the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Alisa: Developer’s Cut contains all of the updates and new content previously added to the PC version, as well as numerous fixes and quality of life optimizations.
