A great Homer and Marge episode
AJG00728 February 2022
Not going to lie, this was one of the best Homer and Marge episodes in recent memory. This episode tells us, without using words, why Homer and Marge are, and always will be, husband and wife.

This was the best ever

Really showed why Homer and Marge ae the perfect couple. They know each other and are satisfied with it. Way to go Matt. This is typical with kids viewing ther parents through the dreams that THEY want, not their parents.

Beautiful!

Even if the golden days of The Simpsons are long gone, they still sometimes come up with surprisingly good episodes. This wholesome, sweet episode has just one storyline, and carries it through beautifully, showcasing the perfect symbiosis that Marge and Homer have built over the years.

I'm definitely stealing Marge's brilliant diy knee pad idea!

Best episode in years!!

Without any modern day politics and garbage, they've made a beautiful intelligent episode. One that celebrates the beauty of a long term marriage over the spark of new romance showing Marge and Homer in their best lights. Granted its not a laugh a minute but that's ok when the episode is beautiful.

Marge & Homer

An excellent episode. My favorite from this season after the two part "A Serious Flanders".

Probably my favorite Marge & Homer episode since the flashback episode in season 2......"The Way We Was".

Recommended!!!

A Return To Form

This episode chooses to focus on development, and it does that very well. The sole storyline that carries throughout the episode really benefits it, rather than having to shove in a B-Plot that may not even get resolved, it dedicates its energy to making one story the best that they can. I think this is a solidly good episode, and definitely one of the best from the "New Simpsons"

Such a sweet and emotional episode from the begining you want to know what will happen next. I honestly never imagine they still had it i hope they can keep the quality for future episodes.

One of my Season 33 faves!

So far the best episode of this season along with A Serious Flanders. It was just so sweet and heartwarming! Homer and Marge rekindle their love for each other and have to work together as a team in order to return to the civilization... just to discover that they might not want to return as they discovered the peaceful nature... love it! <3.

A decent episode in modern Simpsons
farrelsw25 October 2023
After watching another episode , it is finally one of the few good episodes in season 33( with the two part non-canon episode). The episode lacked humour and any jokes but the premise was brilliant. A subversion of what to expect. The story flowed nicely but it seemed to be dragging at places. Survival episode reminded me of. Season 1 Episode 7, although this one was more bare bones and nothing really happened. At least it didn't feel like lazy writing. The voice acting in this season is really sub par. Did they change actors, did they change sound studios or is it just aging. What's up with the singing?

One of the best episodes in years hands down.
Deadprix27 July 2022
I was blatantly shocked by how great this episode was!. There was no background " theme " there was no hidden or obvious message, it was just Homer and Marge, really in love and having a good time then a funny for us ( stressful for them ) time.

This is how the Simpsons should be.

Definitely a winning episode

Can't help but love this episode. Everytime people question why Marge stays with Homer, I'll just send them to this episode.

Two characters that don't need holidays, material goods or fancy things to show much they love each other.

Not every episode needs silly jokes for it's entertainment. It's an episode pure for character building and a warm message. Shows that this show still has spark and doesn't rely on jokes and gags all the time and that is what keeps me as a lifelong fan of this show and shows who the real fans are of this show and not people who just jump in and out

No jokes, and twisted.

If you've ever wanted to see Homer brutally kill a wolverine, then make love to Marge seconds later, this one's for you. Not the show I grew up loving.

One of the best episodes I've ever seen.
cameronhall-8183325 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Like the title says, this is one of the best episodes I've ever seen. I put The Simpsons on for background noise while I finished my Christmas Present wrapping but this episode was so entertaining I'd put everything down to give it my full attention.

The episode's primary focus is on Homer and Marge's relationship and it goes above and beyond to show how much they care for each other.

The episode involves the couple fending for themselves in the wilderness that results in them fighting with a wild animal to the death, a very realistic scenario if lost in the wild. Unfortunately some 'reviewers' have used this scene as an excuse to review bomb the episode, so it's overall score is not as accurate as it should be.

Pixelated and Afraid
studioAT1 October 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is certainly a more grown up episode of the show, and I really liked how it focused on the relationship between Homer and Marge for nearly the whole run time, with Bart and Lisa only featuring in the set-up to the main plot.

In the previous series after the so-called 'golden era' you did wonder why Homer and Marge were still together. They seemed to be splitting up/or in danger of splitting up every two minutes and it didn't help that they kept making Homer so thick that he was unworthy of her love.

Here though they readdress this, and we see how good they are for each other and why it works.

The killing of the Wolverine was probably a step too far though.

Beautiful
crazelord13 October 2023
I am legitimately surprised how a modern day Simpsons episode could actually make me feel this much. It is one of the best Homer and Marge relationship episodes that we've ever gotten.

I think it's due to the writers not focusing on jokes but on the story and characters. There's a genuinely nerve wracking scene that I very much expected to be undercut by some stupid gag but they don't. It's played out entirely straight forward and it's great.

I definitely do agree that lately we've been having some of the best Simpsons episodes. It isn't the same as the old stuff but it's taking new directions that are really great when they're good.

Shockingly sweet and kinda intense
thestitch3 October 2023
Really beautiful. I wasn't expecting such a lovely story with funny comments sprinkled through and then suddenly a intense kinda crazy story. Completely changed my mind on the newer season, I thought they were all kinda lame with some nice but kinda on the nose commentary, but this was a interesting story and nice message. I think this season is kinda great. This episode really focused on the charctures, i feel like i spent time with homer and marge, got to know them. I hope we can get more of that this season. Awesome.

Also new headcannon which is fun/silly, man this is a long charcture min.

The worst.
ariffic13 August 2022
Warning: Spoilers
The worst. What a bunch of nonsense. What a silly ridiculous lame violent plot. This is not the Simpsons. I think they are finally cooked. SO BAD. I feel stupid or for have watched it and now I'm a little bit angry. This really needs to go back to its roots. Also need to find a new Marge. They had no urgency at all to go back to their kids -selfish.
