Swords, kings, dragons and things (and by things, we mean an absurd amount of sex and violence): Where else but "Game of Thrones" can you get all that and then some?
Those who've been thirsting for blood and fire are about to get plenty of both when "Thrones" returns for its second season this Sunday, but considering how much time has passed since poor Ned lost his head, you'd be forgiven for not remembering much of what happened all the way back in season one. Well, never fear, true believers; that's what we're here for!
Keep on reading for everything you need to remember about "Game of Thrones" season one before returning to Westeros later this week.

After the box office failure of Flushed Away, I was worried Aardman Animations may have been dead. With the fire that consumed thirty years of their history and the realization mainstream Americans simply don’t ‘get’ thew British-tinged dry humor, the Academy Award for Wallace & Gromit didn’t seem to prove enough. But Dreamworks’ loss became Sony’s gain as the studios worked out a three-year deal to keep on creating. And although the stop-motion has taken a backseat for computer graphics—don’t worry, their next one is good ol’ Plasticine—the trademark sensibility remains. Unafraid to tell an intelligent story with biting humor and an absurdist bent, I hoped their latest foray into the holiday genre with Arthur Christmas would rise above my basement-level anticipation and shine where so many animated films have recently fallen pray to easy jokes and cookie-cutter plot progression. And while it does this in spades,...

The Duke's head gear from The Green Berets and The High and the Mighty.
By Roland Schaefli
“This is crazy”, Ethan Wayne whispered, as the bids in the auction started to climb way over the estimates. The youngest son of movie legend John Wayne and other members of the Wayne clan were present at the Beverly Hills auction on Oct 6th, announcing that this would be the once in a lifetime shot for fans to get a piece of the Duke, “and we’re not going to do it again” – and still, they could not imagine that the fans would dig so deep in their pockets to collect their father’s artifacts. The total of the two day sale eventually exceeded $5.4 million, a portion of the proceeds of which will fund the John Wayne Cancer Foundation.

Hitting movie theaters this weekend:
Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star - Nick Swardson, Don Johnson, Christina Ricci
Contagion - Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Jude Law
Warrior - Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte, Joel Edgerton
Movie of the Week
Warrior
The Stars: Tom Hardy, Nick Nolte, Joel Edgerton
The Plot: The youngest son (Hardy) of an alcoholic former boxer (Nolte) returns home, where he’s trained by his father for competition in a mixed martial arts tournament — a path that puts the fighter on a collision corner with his older brother (Edgerton).
The Buzz: The world is pretty big, and there are a lot of folks out there busy populating it, so I guess it stands to reason that similar stories would crop up, even if they’re both insanely inspirational in their against-all-odds/too-good-to-be-true essence. I am, of course, nodding to the obvious similarities between last year’s (phenomenal...

"You can do this." Lionsgate asked us to exclusively debut their newest TV spot for Gavin O'Connor's Warrior today, and I certainly had to say yes, as I love this film and it's finally about to hit theaters. Warrior stars Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as brothers and former Mma fighters and Nick Nolte as their father. The film had sneak previews this past weekend, and this one of those TV spots that features audience testimonials, since almost everyone who sees it, loves it. It's hitting theaters this weekend, and it's definitely worth seeing - if you need a full trailer, here it is. Like she says in this, "you have to see the film!" Watch our exclusive new TV spot for Gavin O'Connor's Warrior, debuted here on Fs.net: The youngest son (Hardy) of a former boxer returns home, where he's trained by his father (Nolte) ...

See the movie everyone is cheering about! Lionsgate announced nationwide "sneak previews" this Sunday for the Mma drama Warrior, starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as brothers and former Mma fighters who end up in the ring together. This is one of my favorite films of the year - and I'm even quoted on their site saying that. They've launched a sneak info page at warriorsneakpreview.com that includes some juicy quotes, including a couple from yours truly, from my early review at CinemaCon. The previews are happening this Sunday, September 4th, at 7Pm everywhere before it officially hits theaters next weekend. The youngest son (Hardy) of a former boxer returns home, where he's trained by his father (Nolte) for competition in a Mma tournament -- a path that also puts him on a collision corner with his older brother. Warrior is directed by American filmmaker Gavin O'Connor, of films like Tumbleweeds,...

"One fights for his family, the other fights for his country." Lionsgate recently unveiled a new TV trailer, a 60-second long TV spot, for Gavin O'Connor's Warrior, the upcoming Mma drama starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as brothers. We saw the first trailer for this back in April and I'm sure we'll see another one before its release in September, but for now this is a pretty damn good little trailer to check out. I still really love this movie (my early review) and although they kind of play up the cheesier elements of the film, it's still a great movie in the end. This also stars Nick Nolte, Jennifer Morrison and Noah Emmerich. Enjoy! Watch the newest TV trailer for Gavin O'Connor's Warrior via IGN: The youngest son (Hardy) of a former boxer returns home, where he's trained by his father (Nolte) for competition in a...

Chicago – Noah Wyle stars in the upcoming TNT series “Falling Skies,” a family drama dressed up like an alien-invasion series and premiering Sunday, June 19th, 2011. The ambitious program, which you’re surely aware of if you watched even one of the Chicago Bulls games in which it was heavily advertised, features the former “ER” star as a reluctant leader and family man trying survive after the alien apocalypse. The five-time Emmy nominee sat down with us in Chicago to discuss the program, what drew it to him, the marketing of it, and even the future of the “Librarian” series.
HollywoodChicago.com: The first thing I noticed about the show was the filth. You see a lot of polished performers, especially in the era of HD. How do you maintain the physical sense of desperation — the grime, dirt, etc. — when you’re going back to your trailer after every scene? How...

Family is Worth Fighting For. Lionsgate has debuted another new poster for Gavin O'Connor's Warrior, the Mma fighters movie starring Tom Hardy and Joel Edgerton as brothers who end up fighting in the same tournament. I still prefer those first two teaser posters they made for this, but this one isn't so bad either. It's basically just an updated version with Hardy and Edgerton and more of their naked abs on display, maybe in hopes of attracting more ladies to see this. Thanks to Moviefone for debuting the poster, check it out below. A few more months to go until we finally get to see it! Catch the last official trailer here.
