As the sun shines through the gaps in the boarded-up window, the "sunbeams" through the dusty air diverge greatly. This would place the sun a meter outside the window. Although this may be intentionally, Martin and Kate repeatedly say 'over and out' when they use the CB radio. Proper protocol would be to say either 'over' (when the sender expects a reply) or 'out' (when no further communication is expected). The characters may not be supposed to be fully instructed about the use of the radio since it is only used to contact the proprietor of the cottage.
