It's a rare triumph for an actor to win a spot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It's an extremely rare triumph for them to land multiple roles.
Adrian Pasdar is one of the lucky few. Not only did the American actor spend four seasons as Glenn Talbot in the popular television series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., he also voices the part of Tony Stark in multiple Marvel animated series.
As if that wasn't enough, Pasdar also provided the voice for Hawkeye in The Super Hero Squad Show And Captain America in the Black Panther animated series.
Maybe Marvel's phone broke and they could only call one actor for a while?
What's He Doing Now?
Since moving on from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Pasdar has continued to book consistent voice work and television shows. Over the past two years he's added podcasting to his repertoire, with roles in the fully-scripted kids'-story podcast The...

Whether you’re a toonhead or prefer live-action fare, Disney+ UK will surely have something Marvel-ous for you, and that’s because it’s in a prime position to bring you a wider selection of Marvel comic book TV series content than its Us counterpart.
Disney+ UK will feature five seasons of ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and is also streaming Hulu’s Runaways. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of classic Marvel animated series to catch up on, like Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, and an opportunity to check out newer planet-hopping adventures with the Guardians of the Galaxy.
There’s also further live-action series waiting in the wings – a Loki standalone series, a team up between Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and the debut of Ms Marvel, She-Hulk and Moon Knight, among others, plus an animated What If? show that might have you asking yourself that very question about the possibility of more What If?...

It’s no secret that Disney+ launched with a truckload of exciting content.
From Pixar to Marvel Studios, Star Wars to the treasure trove of Disney classics – Mary Poppins! Toy Story! Lady and the Tramp! More! – early adopters were (and indeed are) somewhat spoilt for choice when signing up to a Disney+ subscription.
And while original series like The Mandalorian have been stealing all the headlines, The Hollywood Reporter recently crunched the numbers to reveal that Disney+ subscribers are watching more of the company’s classics films than recent offerings from Lucasfilm and Marvel Studios. So, yes, 22 percent of users are turning to the archives, compared to Star Wars (21 percent), Marvel (15 percent), Pixar (14 percent), Disney Channel (9 percent), and The Simpsons (5 percent).
Looking further ahead, however, and we now have the 411 on all the latest content coming to the platform next month (h/t Collider). Without further ado, below you’ll...

Even though epics such as The Uncanny X-Men and The New Teen Titans, DC vs. Marvel Comics and Jla/Avengers are long behind us, I’m sure fans of the Big Two remain clamoring for more crossovers in the future. To be honest, I wouldn’t rule out such a thing down the line, but it appears as though something like that won’t happen in an official sense anytime soon.
Fortunately, Marvel has a way to circumvent this in a way, as they have the Squadron Supreme at their disposal. For those unfamiliar, this gang consists of analogs for DC’s most iconic heroes. Instead of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman making up its ranks, there are Hyperion, Nighthawk and Power Princess. Funny enough, this was taken to new heights when Adam West voiced Nighthawk on The Super Hero Squad Show.
Thank to Jason Aaron, this concept will soon become more “meta.

1. Doctor Strange Has Lots Of “Magic Hero” Predecessors Let’s go back over a 100 years, when magicians where a popular part of live entertainment. Many real-life stage performers like Houdini and Blackstone branched out into the printed page, starring in fictional exploits via booklets called “penny dreadfuls” which became the lurid pulp novels. With the current comic book boom under way, you’d expect Marvel to show some love for their first-ever character—Prince Namor, the Sub-Mariner. Since legal entanglements prevent Namor from showing up in a film, why not allow the king of the seas to meet the Agents of Shield?
Last year, it was reported that Marvel has ‘mostly’ regained the rights to the character of the Sub-Mariner, but with some confusing legal hurdles. Marvel’s big boss Kevin Feige has said, “There are entanglements that make it less easy. There are older contracts that still involve other parties that mean we need to work things out before we move forward on it.” So for the time being, Prince Namor languishes in limbo, while less popular characters like Ant-Man and the Black Panther beat him to the screen. This is ironic because the Sub-Mariner is the first character the company ever made,...

Lately, I.ve been seeing Doom in his short statured animated form on The Super Hero Squad Show which will be much different from the one we will see in the live-action reboot. All eyes were on Marvel this past fall as the studio made the leap to the small screen with their first ‘event’ television series, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The show, which returns to ABC tonight for its first episode after a brief winter hiatus, premiered to huge ratings in late September, though recent episodes have shown a slightly worrying decrease in viewership. However, smaller ratings weren’t enough to deter ABC from ordering a full, 22-episode season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. last October. Now, we have confirmation that the series will get some added star-power in an upcoming episode, from none other than comic-book mogul Stan Lee.
Lee, who also serves as an executive producer on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., told THR that he will appear in “a big role.” His episode is expected to air on February 4, though that is subject to change.

Ugh. Here's the full trailer for Marvel's new animated series Avengers Assemble, and it just looks like an all-around bad show. You can actually watch the first episode on iTunes for free by clicking here. I wasn't able to sit through the whole thing. I found it annoying. I'm not a big fan of the tone, dialogue, and poor animation. I'm not sure why they didn't use the same team that brought us Earth's Mightiest Heroes because that was a fun show. My kids even enjoyed watching it, but they didn't take to Avengers Assemble either. They lost interest faster than I did, so Marvel is obviously doing something wrong because it didn't hit with my little fan girls, and it didn't hit with me either.

I really enjoyed watching The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. I like the story, animation and character designs for that show. As you know, Marvel and Disney cancelled that series and replaced it with another one called Avengers Assemble. This is our first look at footage from the series, and I've got to say I'm not impressed. I know the show is for kids; I'm just not a big fan of these character designs, the style, or animation. It looks cheap, but maybe that's what they're going for.

The Comic-Con 2012 schedule has now been released in full, and barring any major updates, is set. The blessing and curse of being an attendee is deciding which panels/autograph sessions/special events to attend, when they conflict. And they always do.
For you to see for yourself, below are what we are calling the “headliner” panels; those panels that are taking place in Hall H, Ballroom 20, Room 6Bdf, and the just-next-door Hilton Indigo Ballroom, the four major venues for panels. There are descriptions of each panel as well as the show(s) and/or movie(s) they are there to discuss.
See how many conflicts you might have, or how you might arrange time and space to somehow attend these plus spend every day in the vendors’ Exhibit Hall and chasing zombies in the nearby The Walking Dead Escape. By the way, if you figure that out, Please let us know.

Ultimate Spider-Man on Disney Xd is a fun and entertaining series, and one of my favorite current animated shows. The voice cast is a mix of people from the Marvel movies and some very notable voice actors, and the creative team is full of big names from Marvel Comics. And according to this press release, there are some big things in store for young Mr. Parker in Season 2:

We've been hearing rumors for awhile that Marvel would be cancelling their awesome animated series Avengers Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Today that rumor has been confirmed; the series is gone. It's a shame that this only got two seasons, as it was one of the best animated series on TV. The news was confirmed in a press release by Marvel that also revealed the show would be replaced by another Avengers series called Marvel's Avengers Assemble.
The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes won’t be renewed for the 3rd Season. Marvel Animation will present their newly developed series Marvel’s Avengers Assemble in 2013.
The image above was released to promote the new series, which looks like it's going to fall more in line with Joss Whedon's Avengers film. I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more Marvel characters introduced in the series though. We should get some more details at this year's Comic-Con.

Do you prefer your superheroes cuddly and bite-size? Do you cringe at CGI and clutch your eyes at explosions?
If so, "The Super Hero Squad Show" may be for you. The cartoonish take on traditional Marvel heroes in miniature form has been on for a few years, but now "Super Hero Squad" is set to hit The Hub on Monday, January 30. It’ll play every day of the week from there on out, perfect for the younger sibling in all of us.
In a press release, Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television and writer of many comic books you probably like, explained the series. "Marvel Super Heroes have always entertained fans of all ages in our comics, and we're proud to offer an animated series that families can enjoy together," Loeb said.
But as Loeb goes on to explain, what's really special about "Super Hero Squad" is that everyone can enjoy it.

Katee Sackhoff is on the hunt for Vin Diesel.
The "Battlestar Galactica" alum is set to return to her sci-fi roots as she's signed on for the untitled "Chronicles of Riddick" sequel, according to Deadline.
Sackhoff will play the role of Dahl, a Nordic mercenary (or "merc," as they're called in the Riddick-verse) who's tracking down everyone's favorite ex-con with the super-sensitive eyesight. She's the first cast member to officially join Vin Diesel in the sci-fi adventure, which recently resumed production in Montreal after a brief hiatus brought on by financing issues.
The untitled sequel follows "Pitch Black" (2000), a not-bad variation on "Aliens" that features Richard B. Riddick (Diesel) teaming up with his fellow crash survivors (including Radha Mitchell and Keith David) to take on a bunch of nasty light-sensitive creatures on a desolate desert planet; and "The Chronicles of Riddick" (2004), the overproduced second chapter that unfortunately traded the modest...

Three Inches, the Syfy pilot with James Marsters and Stephanie Jacobsen that didn't get ordered to series, airs tonight at 9 pm Et on Syfy.
To recap, the network ordered the 90-minute pilot back in the spring of 2010. It was filmed in September in Toronto and, in December, Syfy decided to pick up Alphas instead, and to tweak Three Inches into a half-hour because the two were conceptually similar.
Six months went by with no news, and then in July word came from James' Fb page that Syfy would not be giving Three Inches a full season, but that the pilot would air eventually. Well, that's tonight.
Here is the synopsis, from ScienceFiction.com:
In Three Inches, professional daydreamer and underachiever, Walter Spackman (Noah Reid) is struck by lightning, and develops a unique “super” power — the ability to move any object using just his mind… but only a distance of three inches.

Comic-Con International has released the full schedule for Sunday July 24th for San Diego Comic-Con 2011. This is the final day of the convention. Sunday is known as Kids day and is usually the slowest of all the days, there are a few surprises though. In all my years of going to Comic-Con I've never been to a panel in Hal H. Usually nothing is happening in Hall H on Sunday, this year there are a few TV programs going on in Hall H such a as Glee, Supernatural, Doctor Who, The Cleveland Show, Sons of Anarchy, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and this year Buffy the Musical will be in the great Hall as well. I've never been to the Buffy Musical event, and I think I finally want to go this year. A couple of other things worth noting are a one on one panel with Nathan Fillion, and Max Brooks talks about zombies.

In August 1962, Jack Kirby, Stan Lee, and Larry Lieber created Thor, a new superhero based off of the Norse God, and from that issue of Journey into Mystery, the God of Thunder has gone onto become one of the iconic heroes associated with the Avengers. Even though his big screen debut was in this summer’s Thor (reviews here and here), and will be seen next year in Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor has had numerous incarnations on TV, both in live-action and in animation, so with Lionsgate’s release of Thor: Tales of Asgard May 17th on Blu-ray/DVD, Killer Film takes a look back at the other appearances of the God of Thunder.

Once a hero, always a hero. That’s how it’s turning out for former “Heroes” actors Adrian Pasdar and Milo Ventimiglia, who were just picked to voice Iron Man and Wolverine respectively in two upcoming animated series.
That news and more came out of last weekend’s WonderCon event in San Francisco, which featured a panel led by Marvel’s Head of Television Jeph Loeb.

The Universe’s most powerful possession, the Infinity Sword, has been shattered during a ferocious battle between Iron Man and Dr. Doom. However, the evil Doctor Doom won’t give up without a fight leaving no stone unturned, along with a few buildings, until every last shard is recovered.
Iron Man brings in help from the most renowned heroes around to beat Doom at his own game: Wolverine, Hulk, Thor, the Silver Surfer and a hotshot flyer named The Falcon in this exciting tale, available for the first time on DVD this April.
The only problem is these superheroes are pretty loose cannons and may not work too well together. Has shell-headed hero Iron Man really thought this through? With a little help from friends like Captain America, Ms. Marvel and tons of other heroes, can Iron Man lead the Super Hero Squad to victory?

The stories get so repetitive that even those who watched the series when it originally aired in 1993 will have a hard time watching more than a few episodes.
The series is released as a 5-Disc DVD set as part of the Hanna-Barbera Classic Collection. It features the voice talents of Barry Gordon as Razor, Charles Adler as Chance Furlong, Gary Owens as Commander Ulysses Feral and Tress MacNeille as Callie Briggs. Jim Cummings (Winnie the Pooh, Gnomeo & Juliet, The Super Hero Squad Show), Mark Hamill (Batman: Arkham City), Candi Milo (Planet Sheen) and Lori Alan (90210, Family Guy) also perform guest roles.

As we reported to you in August, The CW was looking to team up with DC Comics again in adapting another comic book character into a television series, following the success of exiting series, Smallville. This next series will center on Raven aka Rachel Roth. The network has tapped Diego Gutierrez (V) to executive produce and write the series.
The character of Raven was created by Marv Wolfman and George Perez. She is “the daughter of a human and a demon who has empath abilities” who can “teleport and control her ‘soul-self,’ which can fight physically, as well as act as Raven’s eyes and ears away from her body.”
This isn’t the first time Raven’s been on television. You might remember her voiced by Tara Strong (The Super Hero Squad Show, Drawn Together) on the animated series Teen Titans that aired on The CW from 2003 to 2006.
So what do you think?...

November 1, 2010: Get to know the man behind the voices of Iron Man, Modok and Captain America – Tom Kenny. The new collection of six episodes of ‘The Super Hero Squad Show: Quest for the Infinity Sword Vol.2’ is out and there is a two minute of interview of Tom in the extras of the DVD. The new sets of episodes are a mix of the Marvel comics and great super-hero acts. The high end energy and the silliness of the episodes will appeal to both the kids and viewers of any age.
Not much of a plot development happens in the series, but there is fun as the main characters get messed around a bit and for the first time there is couple of new things happening. Mistaken identity and the characters leave behind the group’s.
