The full first trailer for the 10-part international series debuted on May 5 after the finale of NCIS Season 22.
It was recently revealed that NCIS: Tony & Ziva will be set in an entirely different timeline from the original series. Instead of taking place in the present, the spin-off will step back into the last decade to help fill in some gaps for viewers. Long-term fans of NCIS will remember when Ziva was presumed dead, and Tony was left to care for their daughter, whom he was entirely unaware existed until that point. The full trailer for Paramount+’s NCIS: Tony & Ziva raises questions about the state of the supercouple’s “on-again, off-again, kinda-again, maybe-again” relationship.
Of note, in the video above we see Ziva tell a therapist that things between her and Tony these days are “not bad” (with half a question mark implied), and Tony at one point raises a glass to the best… “safe house roomie”… he could ask for.

Editor's note: This article contains spoilers for Season 1 of 'The Pitt'Max's The Pitthas become one of the most lauded television shows in recent memory for its real, graphic depiction of an emergency room shift. However, as Season 1 came to a conclusion, one of the show's senior attending physicians, Dr. Heather Collins (Tracy Ifeachor), was absent. While this absence is partially explained in the show, the star of The Pitt, Noah Wyle, has shed some more light on why Collins didn't make an apperance.
It is established that Collins goes home in Episode 11 after a miscarriage, as ER head Dr. Robby (Wyle) tells her to rest and not answer her phone. This provides a reason as to why she is not present in subsequent episodes when the ER has to deal with a mass shooting. However, there is more to it than that, according to Wyle. Noah Wyle is explaining Dr. Collins’ extended absence from the final episodes of The Pitt on Max.
If you need a refresher, Dr. Collins (Tracy Ifeachor) suffered a miscarriage and confided in Dr. Robby (Wyle) during their shift together at the ER. Dr. Robby and Dr. Collins shared a moment, and he sent her home to rest.
Collins did not return to help with the mass shooting, presumably because she was asleep.
Keep reading to find out more…
“Very deep sleeper, that Collins,” Noah said on “The Watch” podcast.
Noah said, “The whole end of the season is just removing bearing walls from Robby’s life. He leans so heavily on Collins and Langdon [Patrick Ball], and then you take them both away from him…he leans so heavily on Dana [Katherine Lanasa], and then she becomes compromised…and then his one last relationship to Jake is severed when he can’t save his girlfriend.

The Pitt presented a whole array of interesting characters with their own storylines and stumbling blocks. One of these characters was Tracy Ifeachor's Heather Collins, who begins the hellish 15-hour hospital shift pregnant.
Collins suffers a miscarriage halfway through the shift, and thus halfway through the show. This is something that drastically affects her as the day goes on. When Dr. Robby (Noah Wyle) finds out about it, he decides she should go home. He tells her to go and relax and turn off her phone... meaning she's not aware when a mass casualty event, a shooting at a music festival, takes place.
Therefore, Robby is left living through the worst few hours of his life without Collins by his side. And according to Wyle, that was all part of the brutal storytelling that made The Pitt so popular. “The whole end of the season is just removing bearing walls from Robby’s life,...

The Pitt may have concluded its Season 1 run last week, but fans are still rabid for the medical drama that's quickly become one of the most beloved TV shows in recent memory. Now that the finale has come and gone, though, many of those same fans are wondering what happened to one of The Pitt's most crucial characters, Dr. Heather Collins, who was absent from not just the finale, but the last four episodes of the season. Star Noah Wyle recently took time to explain what happened, and when you think about it, it makes perfect sense.
Appearing on The Watch podcast, Wyle broke down why Collins – who is expertly portrayed by Tracy Ifeachor – never came back after his character of Dr. Robby cut her some slack and sent her home early. If you'll recall, Collins is Robby's ex who was struggling with her own issues throughout the season...

Tracy Ifeachor’s absence from the final four episodes of The Pitt did not go unnoticed by fans — and in a new interview, series star/executive producer Noah Wyle addresses the decision to have her character, Dr. Heather Collins, scrub out before everyone else.
Collins was last seen in Episode 11, during a tender exchange that revealed the depth of her relationship with Dr. Robby. She confided in her ex about her recent IVF journey that ended in miscarriage earlier that day, then revealed that she got pregnant while they were dating but chose to have an abortion. Do not keep reading if you haven't watched all of season 1 of "The Pitt" — spoilers for the entire season lie ahead.
Season 1 of "The Pitt" has come to an excellent and satisfying conclusion, but there is one thing some fans might be wondering about: what happened to Tracy Ifeachor's senior ER resident Dr. Heather Collins? In the season's 11th episode, "5:00 P.M." -- the show, like "24," is told using a "real-time" conceit in which each episode is one hour of an emergency room shift -- Collins faces a massive personal loss and is comforted by Noah Wyle's lead character Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch before he tells her she should go home, turn her phone off, and get some rest. Ifeachor's Collins does not appear for the rest of the season ... so what happened?

Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn were two of the biggest comedy stars of the 1990s and early 2000s, appearing in a series of hit movies that defined the era. Vaughn’s breakout role in Swingers, followed by memorable turns in Old School and Wedding Crashers, paired with Stiller’s iconic performances in There’s Something About Mary and Zoolander, established them as Hollywood’s go-to funnymen. The duo even showcased their comedic chemistry by collaborating in Dodgeball: A True Underdog’s Story. But as the 2010s rolled in, the Frat Pack frenzy began to wane, and their sci-fi comedy, The Watch, failed to leave a mark. But the tables have turned, and The Watch has recently become a streaming hit on Hulu, where it ranks #8 as of February 19.

It's true that all movies start as words on a page, but this gets you maybe a tenth of the way down the road to a completed film -- and even if you embark on this journey with a brilliantly crafted screenplay, there are still a myriad of opportunities to make an absolute dog along the way. That's because filmmaking is a highly collaborative art form. Everyone, from the director to the cinematographer to the editor to the production and costume designers needs to be dedicated to properly serving that terrific screenplay.
One of the most important stages in film production is, of course, casting. There is an art to great casting (which is why it now has its own Oscar), particularly when it comes to piecing together a comedy. Again, it's not just a matter of bringing together some of the funniest people on the planet. You need look...

There have been all kinds of Discworld adaptations over the years, from the animated movies by Cosgrove Hall in the 1990s to the various live-action TV movies and series, yet none of them have been amazing successes. The most recent attempt, the BBC's controversial adaptation of the Night Watch novels, was critically panned for taking too many arbitrary liberties with the setting. Other adaptations have had their own high points and flaws.
There is one thread that explains why none of these adaptations have achieved any lasting success: none of them have quite landed on the tone that makes the original novels so timelessly endearing, even if the Discworld reading order is a little complicated. Emulating Terry Pratchett's unique mix of satire, slapstick, and parable requires an emotional intelligence that even the best adaptations have lacked.

When Pulp Fiction opened in theaters 30 years ago today, it featured one actual joke. It’s from the pilot of Mia’s television pilot, Fox Force Five, and she warns Vincent ahead of time that “you won’t laugh because it’s not funny.”
But don’t take her word for it — judge for yourself: “Three tomatoes are walking down the street, a papa tomato, a mama tomato and a little baby tomato. The baby tomato is lagging behind the papa and mama tomato. The papa tomato gets mad, goes over to the baby tomato and stomps on him and says: ‘Ketchup.’”
Okay, so maybe Mia was right about the tomato joke. But Pulp Fiction is still funny — check out these five hilarious moments on its 30th anniversary…

Vince Vaughn has always been widely praised for his iconic comedic performances, but one of his more nuanced dramatic turns in True Detective season 2 remains criminally underrated. Since he broke out in the 90s, Vaughn has been primarily known for his comedic roles in movies like Anchorman, Wedding Crashers, and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story. Along with frequent co-stars Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Will Ferrell, Vaughn became renowned as a member of the Frat Pack, a group of actors who dominated the comedy genre with movies like Old School and Zoolander throughout the 2000s.
But Vaughn has always mixed more complex dramatic roles into his filmography alongside those iconic comedic performances. He played Norman Bates in the 1998 remake of Psycho, the hard-edged Sergeant Howell in the World War II epic Hacksaw Ridge, and vengeful prisoner Bradley Thomas in the brutal action thriller Brawl in Cell Block 99. Michel Blanc, the legendary French actor best known for his roles in the Les Bronzés films and Monsieur Hire, has died. He was 72.
He died early Friday morning at a Parisian hospital after suffering a heart attack the previous night, according to Agence France-Presse (Afp).

Born on April 16, 1952, in Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine), France, Blanc had a passion for classical music from a young age. Corey Taylor, Billy Morrison, and Steve Vai have unveiled an animated music video for their collaborative new single “Incite the Watch.”
The track hails from Morrison’s recent solo album, The Morrison Project, which was released earlier this year and features a stacked list of guest spots from the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol, and more.
Taylor and Vai are among the big names on the album, contributing vocals and guitar, respectively, on “Incite the Watch” — one of the LP’s more experimental tracks. The jumps between muted verses with electronic beats and rousing metal choruses are prime material for the Slipknot frontman, while the virtuosic Vai provides adorning guitar leads.
“Billy and I have known each other for so many years and we’ve done many performances together, it was only a matter of time before we put together something original and fascinating,” Taylor said via a press release.

"They just don't make 'em like they used to," said every movie fan ever. But Vince Vaughn knows why. Nostalgia for older movies has always been a powerful force affecting cinephiles, but the growth of social media has seen that effect increase tenfold. While audiences usually attribute this effect to Hollywood's status as a money-making machine, according to Vaughn, that isn't the whole truth.

Andy Samberg is looking back on walking away from Saturday Night Live.
While appearing on Kevin Hart’s Peacock interview series Hart to Heart, the comedian recalled why he made the decision to quietly exit the comedy sketch series after seven seasons back in 2012.
“I was falling apart in my life,” he said, opening up about the exit all these years later. He called the decision to leave “a big choice” and though he didn’t want to leave, he couldn’t “endure it anymore.”
Samberg joined SNL in 2005. After seven years, his contract was up and he decided not to return after the 2011-2012 season wrapped, officially announcing his decision weeks after the finale.

Seth Rogen’s initial years in the entertainment industry were anything but iconic. However, he had a dream to pursue, and he relentlessly wanted to pursue his ambition. Though he started as an actor in the industry, his talents truly shined when he transitioned from an actor to a screenwriter and producer.
Seth Rogen. Credits: Gage Skidmore/ Wikimedia Commons
Although his acting career was not disappointing compared to his creative genius in screenwriting, there’s a huge gap, and now being a writer, it feels that Rogen is a completely different entity. Being in Hollywood for so many years has made him a major figure in the industry, and his works have resonated well with the viewers.
One of the key aspects that make him a beloved figure in the industry is his openness about his personal experiences and now he has a bit of uplifting advice for actors, who are quitting on their dreams.

Ever since 2008’s Iron Man release, MCU, with its box-office collection, became the most popular superhero franchise. But for them, 2023 was a disastrous year.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
The first was in February with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. The $200 million-priced film earned only $464 million in the worldwide market. The Marvels, starring Brie Larson, also went through the same phase as it roughly touched the $200 million mark globally and became the lowest-grossing installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The only good news for the studio was the May release of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 3, starring Chris Pratt, which grossed $845 million at the global market.

At the beginning of its third season, "Star Trek: Discovery" went through something of a soft reboot, with fans often debating about what worked and what did not. Thanks to a complex season-two story about a malevolent machine intelligence, the U.S.S. Discovery was forced through a portal in time, depositing it in the year 3188, about 900 from their starting point. The crew of the Discovery found the future to be bitter and broken. It seems a galaxy-wide cataclysm — nicknamed The Burn — destroyed every active starship a few centuries earlier. The last remaining scraps of the Federation went into hiding while a vicious crime syndicate, the Emerald Chain, rose to power in its absence. The Discovery, equipped with now-ancient technology, had to fight the Emerald Chain, locate the Federation, and attempt to help a galaxy they didn't understand.

While the streamer’s own original content is somewhat limited – Life + Beth is returning for season 2 – you can also catch the new series of Feud this month. The rumors about the MCU undergoing a reboot are not recent. Back in October 2023, there was significant speculation surrounding the potential role of ‘Secret Wars’ as the pivotal moment marking the transition between the old and new MCU.
Throughout 2023, the MCU faced considerable challenges, marked by a noticeable decline in content quality. Formerly successful elements failed to generate the same immense profits. ‘Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania’ experienced a significant setback, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ achieved success but with a lackluster opening, and Disney+ shows faced criticism for their perceived lack of direction, leading to waning overall interest. ‘The Marvels’ proved to be the final blow, becoming the lowest-grossing movie in MCU history and the first Marvel Studios film to fall short of the $100 million mark in domestic box office revenue.

The rumors that the MCU is rebooting are nothing new. In October of 2023, there was quite a lot of talk regarding the possibility of ‘Secret Wars’ being the breaking point between the new and old MCU.
MCU has been struggling for almost the entirety of 2023. There is an obvious lack of quality when it comes to released content. The things that used to work no longer draw billions in profit. ‘Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania’ failed in a big way, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ was a hit but had an underwhelming opening, and Disney+ shows are heavily criticized for their lack of direction, which results in fewer and fewer people interested in the content overall. ‘The Marvels’ only served as the final nail in the coffin as the lowest-grossing movie in the MCU history and the first Marvel Studios movie not to break the $100 million mark in the domestic box office.

One actor in The Bear, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, felt isolated and lonely while filming the episode "Forks" because it took him away from the rest of the cast. The episode "Forks" was filmed in a fine-dining restaurant, which was a departure from the usual loud and chaotic set of The Bear, adding to Moss-Bachrach's feelings of isolation. Moss-Bachrach's experience of loneliness on set helped him portray his character Richie's struggle with purpose, making Richie's story arc one of the most emotional and compelling in the second season of The Bear.
One season 2 episode of The Bear was an especially difficult experience for one actor, but now that the story has come out, the character is even more lovable and relatable than before. The second season of The Bear was recently nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Television Series - Musical or Comedy and has become a smash hit for FX on Hulu.

Being on the Taylor Sheridan beat can be as lonely as living on a sprawling acreage of empty prairie. For one, you have friends and colleagues who assume you’re turning into a wacko Libertarian, a Red State Republican, or that your taste is turning old and out of touch. And if you’re lucky, you might have one other person out there, maybe The Watch’s Chris Ryan, or your fellow Yellowstoners Podcast co-host, who understands your fascination— but not necessarily adoration—for a big sprawling, sometimes-connected Sheridan-verse that’s pitched somewhere in between made-for-CBS melodrama and classic Western ruggedness.

The Marvels star Brie Larson may soon hang up her Captain Marvel cape as a new report claims she's "disillusioned" with playing the superhero after negative backlash following the titular 2019 film.
An excerpt from the MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios book reveals Larson "grew disillusioned" with playing Captain Marvel after receiving online attacks and abuse following the acclaimed eponymous movie. The claim, which was backed by one of the book's writers, Joanna Robinson, in a recent interview on The Watch podcast, suggests Larson has been considering giving up her role as Carol Danvers for some time. "[Marvel Studios] put Brie Larson in [a prominent place in the MCU]. I don't know if Brie Larson was the wrong person for the role, necessarily. But the toxic backlash means that Brie Larson doesn't want to play Carol Danvers anymore," Robinson said.

The Wonder Man series that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II was set to star in may have been scrapped by Marvel Studios, according to rumors. There is no official confirmation from Marvel regarding this information, but with Kevin Feige's change in strategy for future series, it wouldn't be surprising if some projects are abandoned. Despite the potential cancelation, Abdul-Mateen II will still have opportunities in the world of superheroes, including his upcoming role as Black Manta in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
It seems that Yahya Abdul-Mateen II's story in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has died before even being told, as new rumors indicate that the Wonder Man series that the actor was going to star in has been scrapped by Marvel Studios. One of the highly anticipated projects in the MCU that had fans buzzing was ‘Wonder Man.’ It’s a Hollywood satire with Williams portraying an actor-turned-superhero in Tinseltown. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II is set to star as Simon Williams (Wonder Man), alongside Ben Kingsley, Demetrius Grosse, and Ed Harris. However, recent rumors, sparked by Joanna Robinson on ‘The Watch’ podcast suggest that ‘Wonder Man’ is on the verge of cancellation.
This isn’t entirely surprising, given that many MCU projects are at risk of significant reworking. The most recent shock came with the announcement that ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ would undergo major changes because the studio deemed the original concept dull. Instead of sticking to the comic material, the writers are shifting towards a procedural legal drama, focusing on Matt as he takes on a group of rogue policemen.

Joanna Robinson, author of the new Marvel book MCU: The Reign of Marvel Studios, recently mentioned that she's heard whispers that Marvel Studios is scrapping its upcoming Disney+ series, Wonder Man.
During an interview on The Watch podcast, Robinson said that she has heard that "they're trashing the Wonder Man project." The Marvel Cinematic Universe series was originally in production before the writers' and actors' strikes brought work to a halt. Until now, it was believed that Wonder Man would resume filming, alongside other halted productions like Daredevil: Born Again and Deadpool 3, after the SAG-AFTRA strike. The Writers Guild of America strike ended on Sept. 27 after the labor union reached a tentative agreement with the AMPTP. The contract was officially ratified on Oct. 9 by the WGA.

"We have a quote from Kevin Feige sort of implying that, like, Secret Wars will serve as a soft reboot in which they can prune everything," Robinson said during an appearance on The Watch podcast (via Screen Rant). "That's not to use a Loki-ism. [They'll] prune everything that's not working and just keep what is [working], or bring back people you thought were gone forever."

If you read the trade report earlier this week, which we are dubbing the Marvel TV Reckoning for shorthand—the gist being Marvel scrapped their “Daredevil: Born Again” series, are starting over, and in general, are finally conceding that their method of making TV is not working and are going to try the traditional route, with showrunners, show bibles and all the elements they attempted to do without—this new The Watch podcast from The Ringer is a must-listen and excellent additional context.
