There is a brief scene where a couple is kissing sexually on a TV. Temple then changes the channel.

Temple builds a squeeze machine that she wants to keep in her college dorm, but professors don't let her keep it because they think that it is sexual, but there is no discussion of sex nor does the machine resemble any sort of sex toy. There is no nudity and no foul language. There are scenes in which male chauvinistic attitude towards a woman's intelligence and ability plays a significant part in what the protagonist has to overcome.

Steer testicles (and other body parts) are thrown onto a woman's windshield. She claims that she's eaten them before and that the men who put them there wasted them.

In one scene, the main character hits someone in retaliation for bullying.

Temple is frightened by an automatic door and imagines it being like a guillotine.

A large part of the film deals with slaughtering animals, but no gore is shown on screen.

Mild profanity is used, like "freak".

Lord's name taken in vain one time by cowboy.

Some ranchers smoke cigars. Some people are smoking indoor during a meeting.

There is occasional teasing and bullying to the main character, however, it should be noted that they do get punished for it.

Bloody testicles are thrown on a windshield. This may be frightening to some audiences.

3 dead cows are shown as well as an open casket funeral in one scene.
