I'm going to marathon some Disney+ documentaries so I chose this one to start with, and I really liked it I found it very interesting, it is very important to know about our past.

A very well done documentary, you can learn a lot from it.

I liked the specialists, the discoveries.

I just feel sorry for those ancestors who died two thousand years ago and are being exposed to everyone and will not have a decent rest.

At least they managed to contradict the story created by the man who found these individuals based on facts.

Conclusion: it was very important for me to watch this documentary because I don't know anything about this event and it's always good to learn. We will probably never know why these individuals stayed behind and couldn't save themselves.

Terribly made, all drama, little information

Warning: Spoilers
Pompous narration pretending that everything is awesome and interesting. The voice itself is nice.

Beautiful scenery, nice shots. Repeated over and over to make the thing longer.

Scientists and narrator are repeating the same things countless of times. You see them speaking over some photos or just looking at them with music playing in the background.

The music is also made so that we think we see something amazing.

You see the same splash screen against and again, probaly made for commercial break. Every time it steals another seconds from you just to be spread the longest possible.

I liked the parts when they explained the stages of the eruption - I felt I was watching a real documentary for a moment, not some drama show. And it is made as if it was a drama show...

Little information which was spread through 45 minutes that could be just:

S P O I L E R S

The initial stories about the discovered groups of ppl were made up. They did not stay because they were too old, frail or too young. That was probably their decision. They've survived the initial stage of the eruption but came out too soon. Sadly, they were cooked in 200-300C gasses. The process of getting that info is not anything spectacular. Scientists made x-rays and talked together over photos. The based age of the victims by looking at the bones and teeth. Some of the victims had jevelery but nothing very fancy, one lost a shoe. There were adults, elderly, teenager and an infant. The Pompeii didn't seem to have any place dedicated for children so they scribbled on some walls. There was some nice building of wealthy ppl with beautiful mosaics but that wasn't connected with any of the victims.

Just bad.
