I enjoy so many vet shows. What is particularly wonderful about this show is the family. Ben and Erin are clearly still in love and have two teen boys that any parent would be proud of. The entire family is dedicated to helping animals. They love each and every patient, and treat each one with such care as if it was their own. I enjoy the family dynamic. There is so much joy with laughter as well. You can tell they're a family unit, caring for the entire community. I love this show and look forward to every episode!

Really charismatic vets make this one of the best animal shows out there

Nat Geo really got lucky with this show's lead vets! They are charming and have a great rapport with the animals and the camera. The episodes are well paced and the hour flies by quickly. A nice mix of household pets and farm animals. They don't hold back on the details or the close-ups, so be prepared for some gross stuff. You really start to appreciate how intensely competent and well trained they are as vets, with a lot of experience to inform their diagnoses. They are quite fearless -- that raccoon scared the bejesus out of me!

Yes, yes, yes! I am so very, very, very happy to see you folks back on the air! Really missed you and your critters.
Erin, Ben and their family and staff bring the decency, humor and professionalism so needed in the world today and more so, on television!
Glad the tube found you all!

Addicted five mins into it! Must watch! Heartfelt, wholesome, and realistic. Family friendly and educational. Dr Ben and Dr Erin are the best! So cool to get a true inside peak at how the veterinarian world actually works. Too bad we don't all have a Dr Ben and Dr Erin!
This show is good!!

It is so enjoyable to watch this show! Good wholesome people doing interesting and nice things. Just when you think you've seen all there is to see, something urgent happens! I love the absence of "drama"! Keep up the good work!
Questionable decisions

Warning: Spoilers
I've watched this show on and off for the past couple of years, and I've noticed two things that don't make sense.
Problem #1 : it doesn't take two vets to work on a cow, horse, etc., yet she'll accompany her husband leaving the clinic without a veternarian. I've watched other veternarian shows and noticed those vets answer the calls alone or with a veternarian assistant. Imagine if an emergency is brought in, and both Ben and Erin are out on the same call, the animal would have to be taken elsewhere.
The second problem : is that Erin acts like she needs her husband there like a cheerleader or sometimes coach, when she's doing a surgery. It gives the impression that she isn't totally confident in what she's doing.
We know they're married, but this 'attached at the hip' style of working, raises questions that I've not seen on other veternarian shows.
