The Cleaning Lady star Eva De Dominici is set to join Peter Farrelly’s Ball’s Up, where she will star opposite Mark Wahlberg and Paul Walter Hauser.
The action comedy has Farrelly reteaming with Amazon MGM Studios on the project from Skydance. Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese (Deadpool & Wolverine) wrote the script for the feature that focuses on two marketing executives who get fired for botching a potential opportunity.
While using a pair of free tickets to a big soccer match, the execs’ drunken shenanigans cause everyone in the country to start hunting them down. De Dominici appears in Fox’s The Cleaning Lady opposite Elodie Yung and Adan Canto.
She’s also set to star alongside Pedro Pascal and Walton Goggins in the indie feature The Uninvited, which bowed at SXSW. And De Dominici also has on her plate Under The Stars, with Andy Garcia, Toni Collette and...

If you mixed Back to the Future and Halloween, or if The Final Girls had involved traveling in time instead of into a movie, the results might be something like Totally Killer. It’s a time traveling spoof of slasher movies from Blumhouse who already visited this territory with Happy Death Day and its sequel.
The fact it was from Blumhouse was just one of the reasons I debated watching Totally Killer. It was directed by Nahnatchka Khan who is best known for Always Be My Maybe and Young Rock and had no genre experience. Similarly, the three writers David Matalon, Sasha Perl-Raver (Let’s Get Married) and Jen D’Angelo were lacking in that regard as well. But since it...

Pamela Anderson is a gem. During the Pandora Lab Grown Diamonds event for New York Fashion Week on Sept. 6, the actor and author stepped out with her two sons - 25-year-old Dylan Lee and 27-year-old Brandon Lee - for a joint red carpet appearance. The family appeared to coordinate outfits, with the boys wearing similar white button-down shirts and blue jeans, and Anderson matching in an all white ensemble. As the new (makeup-free) face of Pandora's lab-grown diamonds, this moment marked a major milestone for what Anderson described as her "new chapter" - a deliberate shift away from her former bombshell image. She stars in the campaign alongside her sons and other icons like Precious Lee and Justina Miles.
"The '90s was the '90s, and now it's 2023," Anderson told Entertainment Tonight. "This is a new chapter of my life." For her, this means a more natural look, a heightened focus on self care,...

FBI Agent Victoria Travers seems to be some kind of adrenaline junkie. She has a habit of doing things her own way, risks be damned. And after once again bringing a suspect in without waiting for backup her boss Lockwood tells her she’s taking a vacation whether she likes it or not. Judging by the way she calls him a son of a bitch we can assume she doesn’t like it.
For reasons of budget, the film’s not Victoria’s, she, along with her husband Steve and their daughter Juliette (Alma Petra Vago) decide Romania is the perfect place to take a vacation. Except it’s not much of a vacation because almost immediately after they arrive she spots wanted criminal John Slater.

The "Pamela, a Love Story" premiere was a family affair for Pamela Anderson. The actor brought sons Brandon Thomas Lee, 26, and Dylan Jagger Lee, 25, to the Jan. 30 screening of her new Netflix documentary in Hollywood. The trio posed together on the red carpet clad in stylish outfits - Anderson wore a sparkly red gown reminiscent of her iconic "Baywatch" swimsuit, while Brandon and Dylan wore a navy suit and black sequin suit, respectively. Brandon's girlfriend, Lily Easton, and Dylan's girlfriend, Paula Bruss, were also in attendance.
"Pamela, a Love Story" offers candid details about Anderson's life, from her rise to Playboy fame and sex-tape scandal to the abuse and trauma she experienced as a child. Brandon, who produced the tell-all film, praised his mother's strength during a red carpet interview at the premiere. "I've never met a woman as brave as my mother," he told "Access Hollywood." The trailer for the new Bruce Willis action vehicle titled Detective Knight: Rogue has been released by Lionsgate. This film looks to be yet another lower-budgeted direct-to-video release for the action star, except this one might be part of an already shot trilogy? In it, Willis plays a Los Angeles cop that sees an uptick in bank robberies in the city from an elite group of thieves.
The synopsis on the IMDb is what suggests the movie may be the first instalment of a trilogy:
Bruce Willis stars as veteran Detective James Knight, dedicated to navigating the demanding streets of Los Angeles, in this thrilling first of a trilogy of films. As the city prepares for Halloween, mask-wearing armed robbers critically wound Knight’s partner in a shootout following a heist. With Knight in hot pursuit, the bandits flee L.A. for New York, where the detective’s dark past...

One week after bestowing Bruce Willis with an award for his worst performance of 2021, the Golden Raspberry Awards – better known as the Razzies – has rescinded the dishonor in light of Willis’s recent health diagnosis.
“If someone’s medical condition is a factor in their decision making and/or their performance, we acknowledge that it is not appropriate to give them a Razzie,” the group’s co-founders, John J.B. Wilson and Mo Murphy, said in a statement.
The top honor of Worst Bruce Willis Performance in a 2021 Movie was awarded to “Cosmic Sin,” where the actor portrayed James Ford. Four days after the “win,” however, the Willis family announced the actor’s aphasia diagnosis while also confirming the “Die Hard” star had retired.

A day after Bruce Willis’ family revealed the actor has been diagnosed with aphasia, the Golden Raspberry Awards have rescinded its recent (dis)honor of the actor. The Razzies are also taking back their nomination of Shelley Duvall for her performance in “The Shining,” who 42 years ago was among those nominated in the very first Razzie Awards.
This year’s Razzies, which were handed out on Saturday, included a special category just for Willis, “Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie,” highlighting the eight critically reviled titles he starred in last year; he won for “Cosmic Sin.” Just a four days later, the 67-year-old actor’s family made public the news of his medical condition, a disease caused by brain damage that impacts a person’s cognitive and communication abilities.
The unfortunate timing led to renewed criticism of the Razzies, which highlights cinematic misfires, under-achievements, and failures. Organizers told...

The Razzie Awards said Wednesday that they will not rescind the “Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in 2021” award in light of the actor’s aphasia diagnosis.
“The Razzies are truly sorry for #BruceWillis diagnosed condition,” the parody awards ceremony wrote on Twitter. “Perhaps this explains why he wanted to go out with a bang in 2021. Our best wishes to Bruce and family.”

The message was not well-received on social media, with several users demanding that the Razzies delete it and issue an apology, particularly for the second sentence.
A few hours later, the Razzies replied to itself, “To clarify, we heard about Willis’ diagnosis at the same time everyone else did…just this morning.”

Update:The Golden Raspberry Awards have rescinded Bruce Willis’ Worst Performance Award after his aphasia diagnosis was made public. Read more here.
Last week, Bruce Willis was (dis)honored with a Golden Raspberry Award for his performance in the space actioner “Cosmic Sin.” He didn’t have much competition: The Razzies this year crafted a special category just for the actor, “Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie,” highlighting the eight schlock titles he starred in last year.
Just four days later, Willis’ family revealed that the actor would be “stepping away” from acting after he was diagnosed with aphasia, a disease caused by brain damage that impacts a person’s cognitive and communication abilities. The unfortunate timing led to renewed criticism of the Razzies, which for 42 years has highlighted cinematic misfires, under-achievements, and failures — and attracted criticism for its approach for nearly as long. Big-screen icon Bruce Willis is stepping away from acting following a recent diagnosis of aphasia, a brain condition that impacts cognitive abilities and speech. Willis’ eldest daughter, Rumer Willis, made the announcement on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a joint statement from his family about Willis’ condition. Aphasia is caused by brain damage, and affects an individual’s ability to communicate.
“To Bruce’s amazing supporters, as a family we wanted to share that our beloved Bruce has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is impacting his cognitive abilities,” Rumer Willis wrote in the statement. “As a result of this and with much consideration Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.”

Results for the 42nd Razzie Awards are in — and if you had anything to do with “Diana: The Musical,” you might want to go back to bed.
The big, fat Broadway bomb about the Princess of Wales beamed into your living room courtesy of Netflix was this year’s big Razzie “winner,” taking home five of what the group calls its “un-coveted … tacky, gold-spray-painted statuettes.”
The streaming version of the stage musical bagged Worst Picture, Worst Actress (Jeanna de Waal), Worst Supporting Actress, Worst Director (Christopher Ashley) and Worst Screenplay. The group pointed out how richly the “Diana” script deserved the honor for “featuring some of the year’s most ridiculed dialogue and lyrics — Including rhyming ‘Camilla’ with both ‘Manila’ and ‘Godzilla.'”

Yippee-ki-yay, Bruce Willis sure has a lot to celebrate the day before the 2022 Academy Award nominees are announced.
The Razzie Awards, also known as the de facto anti-Oscars, just crowned prolific action star Willis as the first actor to receive their very own awards category: Worst Performance by Bruce Willis in a 2021 Movie.
Golden Globe winner Willis, who is now a leading star of producer Randall Emmett’s “Geezer Teasers,” as coined by Vulture, appeared in eight direct-to-video films this past year. The Razzie-nominated films are “American Siege,” “Apex,” “Midnight in the Switchgrass,” “Cosmic Sin,” “Deadlock,” “Fortress,” “Out of Death,” and “Survive the Game,” which were all part of a Half in the Bag review episode by YouTube channel, Red Letter Media.

As is tradition, the Golden Raspberry Awards announced their contenders on the eve of the Oscar nominations. The Razzies, now in their 42nd year, are a tongue-in-cheek ceremony that “honor” the worst films of the year. Scroll down for the full list of nominees in all 10 Razzie Awards categories ranging from Worst Picture to Worst Remake, Rip-Off, or Sequel. Unique to this year is a category dedicated to Bruce Willis and his eight performances in pictures last year.
Leading the 2022 Razzie Awards nominations roster is the Netflix version of the Broadway flop “Diana: The Musical” with nine bids. Tied with five apiece are “Karen” and “The Woman in the Window.” Each of these ill-conceived movies counts a Worst Picture nomination among its haul. Joining them in that race are the sequel “Space Jam: A New Legacy” and the sci-fi flick “Infinite.”
As usual, “winners” will be decided by Razzie members.

"Men like that never should've come to a place like this." The same question always come to mind: why?!? Rlje has debuted an official trailer for an action thriller film titled Apex, which is (of course) a shortened version of the excruciatingly dull title Apex Predator. Another new film from the same director of the epicly bad Cosmic Sin with Willis. So what's Apex about? Six elite hunters pay to hunt down a man on a deserted island, only to find themselves becoming the prey. Bruce Willis stars as "Malone", an ex-cop serving a life sentence for a crime he didn't commit, offered a chance at freedom if he can survive a deadly game of Apex. The cast includes Neal McDonough, Corey Large, Alexis Fast, Nels Lennarson, Lochlyn Munro, Megan Peta Hill, and Trevor Gretzky. Ughhh this seems so so so awful, even the action looks mediocre. Here's the official...

Byron Crawford has been tracking the serial murderer who would become known as “The Truck Stop Killer” for years. But his...

“A Quiet Place Part II” (Paramount/$19.99) is best overall among VOD rankings this week, but it’s not unanimous. After initially leading after its July 13 iTunes release (always the quickest daily chart to reflect new releases), it dropped to #2. Instead, “Wrath of Man” (United Artists/$5.99) returned to the top, a position it already held for most of June. iTunes, like GooglePlay, ranks by number of transactions; after weeks at $19.99, “Wrath” reduced its price and rebounded.
John Krasinski’s smash sequel also was available on Paramount+. Did that have an impact? Only Paramount knows. Another point of interest: In its VOD debut, $19.99 meant a digital purchase of “Quiet” — not just a 48-hour rental. Electronic sell-throughs usually happen only after a rental-only option.
Apart from its iTunes #1, “Wrath” otherwise scored three second placements on other charts, highlighting consistency between those ranking by sales and transactions. “Nobody” (Universal/$5.99) and “Godzilla vs. Kong” (Warner Bros.

International distributors will get a first look at action thriller “Gasoline Alley” at the upcoming Cannes Market. The film, which stars Bruce Willis, Luke Wilson and Devon Sawa, is represented by Highland Film Group.
The project was first announced at the European Film Market in Berlin, around the time that it was moving into production. Principal photography has now wrapped after set-ups in multiple U.S. locations.
The action follows a take-no-prisoners kind of company boss, played by Sawa, who is accused of a triple murder in Hollywood. He subsequently allies with the two tough detectives (Willis and Wilson) on his tail. And together they uncover a much larger truth than any one of them had imagined.
“Gasoline Alley” is directed by Edward Drake, who recently directed Willis in “Cosmic Sin.” The screenplay is by Tom Sierchio (“The Girl Who Invented Kissing”).
Corey Large and Sierchio are producing the film with BondIt Media Capital financing.

Soon we’re going to be watching Zack Snyder leave behind the quest for a “grown-up” superhero movie and return to his old playground, the zombie movie. Army of the Dead looks like a huge amount of fun and leaves us wondering why nobody has made a zombie heist movie before, but one of the plot details that has leaked about the film is that Area 51 plays a significant role.
This suggests that the zombie plague may be extraterrestrial in origin. Like most subversions of the zombie apocalypse genre (although Army of the Dead promises a much smaller and more contained “apocalypse” so that all that cash they steal is still worth something) this is actually a plot twist you can trace back to the earliest roots of the genre.
In Night of the Living Dead, the zombie apocalypse is the result of strange radiation emerging from a probe that has returned from Venus.

Exclusive: We have learned that Bruce Willis and John Travolta are starring together again for the first time in 27 years in the Chuck Russell-directed action pic Paradise City. Production starts this Monday in Maui, Hawaii.
Willis plays renegade bounty hunter, Ryan Swan, who must carve his way through the Hawaiian crime world to wreak vengeance on the kingpin, played by Travolta, who murdered his father. I’m told the project is billed as being similar to Miami Vice but with bounty hunters instead of cops. Thai actress and model Praya Lundberg has landed the lead female role.
Though Paradise City technically reps the fourth time that Willis and Travolta are billed on a movie together, they only worked onscreen in the 1994 Oscar-winning $214M-grossing Quentin Tarantino movie Pulp Fiction respectively as boxer Butch Coolidge and mob guy Vincent Vega. Check out their scene below from that pic. Prior to that...

“Raya and the Last Dragon,” which grossed $32 million for its first month in theaters, made a strong general-public premium VOD debut. Everyone can now buy it at $29.99; previously, only Disney+ subscribers had the privilege with the same upcharge. The animated film took the top spot at FandangoNow as well as AppleTV which ranks by purchase volume.
“Black Widow” and “Cruella” are expected to follow suit in the coming months, but Disney+ availability looks a lot less threatening after the box-office success of “Godzilla vs. Kong,” which grossed $48.5 million — over 9 million tickets sold — even while available on HBO Max. In Canada, where most theaters are not yet open, it took in around $3 million U.S. as a PVOD offering.
After several weeks at $19.99, “Wonder Woman 1984” benefited from a price reduction to $5.99 three months after its theatrical debut — Aka normal practice. It is #1 at Google Play, and #2 at AppleTV and FandangoNow,...

The promise of an actual theatrical blockbuster, “Godzilla vs. Kong,” seems to have thrown the VOD charts into stasis. All three of the current #1 titles on four VOD charts also held top spots last week, with no new or reduced price offerings giving much competition.
“Monster Hunter” remains #1 at GooglePlay, and is the only title to rank on all four lists. Paul W.S. Anderson’s film, initially PVOD but now at standard pricing, has been #1 on all of the charts at different times. Worldwide theatrical gross is $30 million (on a reported $60 million budget), but its strong home performance could make up the loss.
“Promising Young Woman” stayed at #1 at AppleTV, where viewer preferences suggest a more upscale crowd. Focus’ reduction to standard pricing was well timed against its Oscar nominations.
“The Little Things” claimed the #1 spot on multiple charts. It tops revenue-tracking FandangoNow and Spectrum Cable, which lists by transactions.

To judge by this weekend’s box office, Oscars mean little to the movie-loving public. The five available Best Picture contenders — “The Father,” “Minari,” “Judas and the Black Messiah,” “Nomadland,” and “Promising Young Woman” — grossed in the range of $200,000-$300,000.
However, “Promising” also dropped from $19.99 to $5.99 on VOD one day after Academy announced its five nominations. It now ranks on every chart we list, including #1 on Apple TV. “Minari” also received increased attention, even at $19.99. Of note is its #5 placement at Spectrum Cable; not only do its customers tend to reflect mass-audience tastes, but the chart ranks by rentals, not price. That shows significant crossover interest.
“Nomadland” is available on Hulu and “Judas” is available at HBO Max (through March 28), so any Oscar impacts at home are unknown. “The Father” will be available on PVOD March 26.

Even with new titles on VOD and streaming charts, the Oscar nominations may shake things up. Netflix received 35 total nominations among 14 titles, providing an unprecedented chance to see how many titles return to charts. The two top performers to date have been “Hillbilly Elegy” and “The Midnight Sky.” Nomination leader (with 10) “Mank” barely caused a wrinkle on the charts, placing tenth for a single day when it was released.
Currently, the dominant VOD titles are Sony’s standard-price ”Monster Hunter” and PVOD “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.” However, the other #1 is Nicholas Jarecki’s “Crisis” (Quiver) in its second week. The tripych of opiate-crisis stories starring Gary Oldman and Armie Hammer showed initial response last week and is now tops at Apple TV (which often foretells success later at other sites). For some reason (possibly a listed price of $9.99?), it doesn’t show up on the top 500 titles at Google Play.

While Disney’s Raya and the Last Dragon could hardly be accused of setting the box office on fire, the animated film held over the weekend and easily outstripped the competition.
Indeed, the box office office rankings look little different than last week, as new releases Cosmic Sin, Then Came You, Judas and the Black Messiah did middling numbers.
Overall, the top 20 films made $5 million, or 13 per down on the previous, with the box office sluggish ahead of new releases such as Godzilla Vs. Kong and Peter Rabbit 2 later this month.
Local feature doc Girls Can’t Surf, from Madman, bowed shy of the top 10 on $103,818 from 113 screens, taking it to a respectable $344,961 with previews.
Directed by Christopher Nelius, the film tells the story of how a “ragtag bunch of inspired, punk girls” took on the male-dominated sport of professional surfing in order to achieve equality. Featured are surfing greats Jodie Cooper,...

Set in 2524, the premise of the movie revolves around a group of soldiers tasked with dropping a bomb on an alien-inhabited planet. Among the members of the team are General James Ford (Willis), a man who was dishonorably discharged after killing over 70 million people, and the mastermind behind the squadron (Grillo). Another week, another step toward the world as we knew it before Covid-19, thanks to nationwide vaccination efforts and the gradual reopening of theaters. A week after New York cinemas cautiously reopened, Los Angeles plans to do the same, and distributors are serving up movies they’d kept on the sidelines to serve the venues that have suffered so greatly this past year — although after last week’s deluge, this one brings a pretty meager menu of new releases.
Perhaps most tantalizing is Pedro Almodóvar’s “The Human Voice,” starring Tilda Swinton. Sony Pictures Classics is releasing the 30-minute short film, which debuted at the Venice Film Festival (one of 2020’s few in-person events), in just a handful of theaters, along with a fresh restoration of the Spanish master’s “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown.” That means audiences can come just for a short, social-distanced experience (ducking...

Bruce Willis, Luke Wilson, and Devon Sawa are on board to star in the new crime action-thriller “Gasoline Alley,” directed by Edward Drake from a script by Tom Sierchio, Highland Film Group announced Thursday.
Principal photography will commence in March across the U.S. Highland Film Group is handling international rights and introducing the project to buyers at the virtual European Film Market.
“Gasoline Alley” centers on Jimmy Jayne (Sawa), a bruised-fisted rockabilly boss-type sucked into a triple murder of three Hollywood starlets drowned in a luxury hotel pool. As the prime suspect for homicide detectives Freeman (Willis) and Vargas (Wilson), Jimmy takes up his own rogue investigation, bending the law in ways the police can’t in order to clear his name. With the killer skating through Jimmy’s shadow, he bands together with the two detectives to dangerously expose a truth much bigger than they had imagined.

Cosmic Sin is an American sci-fi film starring Bruce Willis and Frank Grillo and directed by Edward Drake. In the year 2524, 400 years since humankind was able to colonise the cosmos, Cosmic Sin sees 7 soldiers part of a team governed by “The Alliance” who are attacked by a newly discovered civilization of forceful aliens. In the hopes of the human race not becoming extinguished and to stop a potential interstellar war, these soldiers launch a precautionary strike against them.
Co-written and directed by Edward Drake, and co-written by actor Corey Large (who also stars in the film as Bruce’s bff Dash), Cosmic Sin brings you action, aliens, impressive looking weapons, as well as some sarcastic and funny humour. What is lacking however is Bruce Willis’s presence as our lead character, despite his name being front and center of all the posters.
I enjoyed seeing Mr Willis back on our screens again,...

Universal Pictures has debuted a brand new TV spot for thriller ‘Nobody’ featuring ‘Better Call Saul’ actor Bob Odenkirk.
When two thieves break into his suburban home one night, Hutch declines to defend himself or his family, hoping to prevent serious violence. His teenage son, Blake, is disappointed in him and his wife, Becca, seems to pull only further away.
The aftermath of the incident strikes a match to Hutch’s long-simmering rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling him on a brutal path that will surface dark secrets and lethal skills. In a barrage of fists, gunfire and squealing tires, Hutch must save his family from a dangerous adversary—and ensure that he will never be underestimated as a nobody again.
Directed by Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry), from a script by Derek Kolstad, the narrative architect of the John Wick franchise, the film stars Odenkirk as Hutch Mansell and Christopher Lloyd...

"What's the status of the Q-bomb?" Saban Films has released an official trailer for an epic sci-fi adventure called Cosmic Sin, another strange "where did this come from?!" creation from the same filmmaker behind Broil and Breach previously. From director and co-writer Edward Drake, Cosmic Sin follows seven rogue soldiers who launch a preemptive strike against a newly discovered alien civilization in the hopes of ending an interstellar war before it starts. Definitely sounds like a big "sin" before we've even seen the film. If that plot setup doesn't worry you, maybe the cast will. Cosmic Sin stars Bruce Willis, Frank Grillo, Brandon Thomas Lee, Corey Large, Perrey Reeves, Cj Perry, Lochlyn Munro, Costas Mandylor, as well as Adelaide Kane. No surprise, this looks mediocre. Despite the slick sci-fi VFX, it just seems like a big mess. Here's the official trailer (+ two posters) for Edward Drake's Cosmic Sin, direct from...
