There are gonna be a lot of bad reviews saying that this is ruining the character and that it is bad and uninspired, written out of (mostly unecessary) hatred towards thunder cats roar by people that didn't even watch either one of these cartoons.
I understand that this show's humor is not everyone's cup of tea but i quite enjoyed it, at some points it was a bit much but never really got annoying at any point.
The use of colour is really great and works well with the simple cartoony style, that simplicity also makes it possible for the animators to take the stage and make some really fluid and awesome looking fights.
Overall it was a great start to the series and i cant wait to watch the next episode.

Utterly ridiculous. Incredibly fun. And despite how goofy this is, i think it is the most interesting take on Mera i've ever come across: completely unhinged and always itching for a fight (but not quite literally insane as she was in the comics for a while), and Gillian Jacobs is hilarious.
If you are bothered by the fact that this is not faithful to the comics or annoyed that it doesn't take the character seriously, you might want to check in on your emotional well being. Go for a walk. Maybe lay off Reddit for a while. Possibly even see a therapist. Being angry at a cartoon is not healthy. Grim and gritty Aquaman is still out there. But wait, can you be gritty underwater though, or does it just wash off?

Silly show with a fun, charming style. Difficult to really rate after just one episode so far. It would probably benefit more from shorter episodes and I hope the story goes meaningful places under its silly shell.
I really don't have anything negative to say about this show. It's incredibly fun and absolutely beautiful. What?! A show designed by the thundercats team is beautiful?!? YES. It looks so good. The world and environments are so well-designed and immersive. The colors are rich and juicy! I can't recall a single shot that I didn't find aesthetically appealing.
The character designs are silly and weird and yes, kinda ugly sometimes. But I think that's kinda the point? There is comedy in the absurdity of the contorted faces and ridiculous poses. And combine that with the clever and often subtle humor and you just might find yourself having a good chuckle throughout.
As many have said, this may not be your cup of tea. And that's perfectly fine. Maybe you wanted an anatomically correct, super serious, rippling pectoral, washboard abs, sweat glistening Aquaman (you'll actually still get that here...) and I get that. But I really believe that anyone willing to give this show a chance will find themselves having a good time. Despite the whimsical, careless style, this show has some really wonderful moments. The characters are lovable right from the start and despite the silliness you'll find that the show has a lot to say about self-doubt, feeling like an outsider, and rising to the occasion when given a difficult task. I don't know, it just has a lot of heart and I was glad I tuned in.
So, if you have it in you, please don't shoot this one down. It's great fun and I don't think anyone who watches with an open heart and mind will regret it.

Its animation is really great, reminding me of a mix of Ren & Stimpy, Spongebob and Superjail. Though I thought this Aquaman would be more like the Batman: Brave and the Bold iteration (strong loud and dumb), I like the fish out of water, or rather, human IN water take. It just makes what little character development and plot there is more engaging. Always love hearing the voices of Dana Snyder and Tom Lennon. That being said, I don't know what a lot of people were expecting from this, a dark gritty Zach Snyder version? Is it too wacky for the emo edgelords? Not to be insulting, but it's fun to have a off the wall show sometimes with chaotic humor.
